Pros: Saved my daughter big $$$$$$ Cons: took two cans to get the code to go away
"My daughter's 2002 camry with 97,000 miles was coming up for inspection and we were getting the dreaded P0420 code! We ran two cans through on a long distance trip and reset the codes and it just passed the inspection this morning!!!!! Great stuff
$25 for two cans vs $800 for a new Converter is a good deal in my book."

"My wife's 1996 Camry had 165,000 miles on it when the engine light came on. I took it to our mechanic, and the computer reported a plugged catalytic converter. The part from Toyota was over $800, and since no after-market converters are available for this car, we chose plan B. Our mechanic's recommendation was to keep driving it if we could get used to the annoying warning light. He said that I might try a liquid catalytic cleaner. I ordered this cleaner, but a few days later before the cleaner arrived, the light came on again. Same thing - the converter. The mechanic told us to bring the car back when the cleaner arrived if the light was on again. It was... three times now. We took it to the mechanic who reset the light, and we poured in one can of the cleaner (you get 2 cans) and took a short 200 mile trip. 30,000 miles later the light has never come back on. I run a can through every 8 or 9 months for good measure. I like the idea of spending a few bucks (and I mean just a few!) each time rather than the $800 replacement! Here's the real amazing thing... our mechanic didn't charge anything for the computer checks! There are still some good ones out there - and we never complain over a repair bill."
