"Install in about 20min. If cord is to short just get a small extension cord and hook to it. I ran mine rite thrue the front grill for easy hook/unhook of power. It is nice to easily start my 1986 grandwagooner and have heat instantly on a 15 degree morning."

"Overall the block heater works well and is very easy to install, but when I ordered the block heater the heater was supposed to have a 5' cord and it only had a 1' cord so with that short of a cord how was I supposed to get the heater mounted inside the engine compartment and have the cord out where I can get to it to plug it in? I ended up cutting the plug off and adding a longer cord. What were they thinking? I am using these block heaters on stand by generators that have 4, 6 & 8 cylinder engines"
