Cons: Unsure of when it's time to replace them

"I bought one of these for my Ranger about 10 years ago. At the time I had just replaced my old corroded radiator with a new one. I decided to install one of these corrosion inhibitors just to see if it would work. What could it hurt?

10 years later and my new radiator still looks completely new. I noticed a light sludge built up around the corrosion inhibitor. This showed me that it was working. I wiped it off and after a few times it stayed clean. There has never been any corrosion or build up in my radiator since I installed this. I change my coolant about every 2 years or so and the radiator has no white build up in it to this day.

I also installed one in my F150 with similar results. I couldn't see owning a vehicle without installing one of these. They are just too simple to install and yet so necessary to maintaining a healthy cooling system. Absolutely recommended..."

"Product stops crud accumulation in radiators. Have used for 10+ years in all my cars. I have bought cars with marginal radiators that would overheat the first summer. The radiator saver in marginal radiators will slowly disappear (if you wipe it down every couple of weeks) and the crud in the radiator will disappear and accumulate on the zinc radiator saver. Great product that is worth what appears to be an inflated price. When the zinc disappears replacement zinc can be purchased from a marine supply house if you live near the coast."
