Pros: VERY easy opening
Cons: Wish it came with option of tinted windows
"I love this top. I don't understand some of the reviews that complain about how hard it is to install. We didn't have any trouble installing it at all. It took my husband and I about 3 hours to do the job. (and we were still speaking to eacher when we were done) :) This is so great and so easy to just fold the front part back. I don't like leaving my vehicle wide open all of the time. I can come right out after work and pop open the front part lickety split!"

Very Nice Top,

Pros: Nice Appearance, Well made; Protection from the elements; Convertible
Cons: PITA to install
"I agree with all other reviews, it takes much longer than indicated by the manufacturer (assuming this is a new installation). Took two of us 4.5 hours of steady, precise attention. Perhaps it may take less if you have nothing to remove and are familiar with this specific top. And the DVD was not much help. I love the versatility of flipping the top up or down within minutes, although it takes practice to adjust the sunroof portion for proper opening and closing. If i could have designed it, I personally would love to be able to simply zip out/roll the window portions without removing the entire panel- though it looks neat whether they are in or out. The Cons are only minor irritants, but the pros are well worth the extra money or time you'll spend on this top. Well worth it overall"

Pros: Easy to open/close
Cons: Installation a little unclear in spots
"We have a 99 Wrangler and always had a hard top. We saw someone in town with this top and bought it. Saw everyone else's reviews about installation problems so we got 4 guys together. It went smoothly until the very last part. No pictures to show us exactly how to attach it to the front. We thought it just wasn't snapping in place properly. Finally found someone else who knew how to do it and it went in with no problem. Absolutely love it. Very easy to open and close, looks great. Might never put the hard top back on. Get lots of help and block a few hours for installation. But once it's done it's worth it!!"

"This top looks great and is very cool to have with its versitility, but installing it was very agrevating. It took 3 people including myself to install this top and it took just over 4 hours. The directions say allow 2 1/2 hours for one person. Im hoping it was a joke. The directions are very unclear and wastes a lot of time. The dvd that comes with it does not help at all. It skips like 75% of the steps and all of sudden you got your top on with installing only one part and 4 screws? right. Like i said, the concept of the top is awesome but you must set aside an afternoon to install. Good luck."

"I have a 2003 TJ Wrangler. I just bought and installed the Bestop sunrider soft top and a jeet that previously had only a hard top. The Bestop sunrider soft top is a high quality product that looks better than the OEM product. However, it was much more difficult to install than I anticipated. It took 8 hours of concentrated work and the installation instructions were not specific enough in some areas which resulted in a trail and error mode. This is the first soft top I have installed so this might have something to do with my difficulty. It then took several hours to learn how to efficiently raise and lower the top. The sunroof mechanism works well, so if you want to use this top as only sunroof, I can recommend it. However, it does complicate the mechanism for lowering and raising the whole top. I have lowered and raised my top 3 times now and have required a large clamp to pull the bow into position on the door surround. The instructions say push the bow until it clicks into position on the door surround but you must be a weight lifter to accomplish this, thus the clamp is the better solution. Also, when you release the bow from the door surround to lower the top you better have a pair of pliers because you can't do it with your fingers. I now carry a large clamp and pliers as standard equipment in my jeep. Otherwise, a very nice top.
I have clicked the recommend to friends button, but this comes with a caveat, I would want to be there to help them."

"As with all soft tops, the sunrider is difficult in the initial installation on the Jeep. However, once is has been installed, it is VERY simple to flip back the sunrider top and enjoy the open air! As a female, I don't always have the muscles to wrestle soft tops, but this one can be flipped back while sitting at traffic lights.
I have traveled in my 1998 Jeep Wrangler with this top, and like all soft tops, it flaps a bit, but still travels well."
