Worth it for dual-sport use, July 3, 2008

Pros: Makes the mirrors on a dual-sport usable above 10 MPH.
Cons: Chrome plating looks cheezy on a dual-sport, hard to screw in all the way, shipping is too high for product weight.

"1993 Kawasaki KLX 650 C Dual-Sport

Before I got this product, my mirrors were unusable above 10 MPH. I could not see anything behind me, the mirrors would vibrate too much.

This product turned the worthless mirrors into usable safety gear. After installing these, I can see cars in the right mirror at 60 MPH! The left mirror is still vibrating too much, and I don't know if it can be fixed.

They should offer this in black. Chrome looks cheezy on a dual-sport. I was able to put black 1" shrink-tube over it, which helps the appearance. Also, it was hard to screw in. They need a way to use a wrench on them to force them into the sockets. Finally, these weigh about 1 oz each. They could be shipped for 2 US stamps, not $6.99.

Overall, a good product if you have a thumper.

I Can See Behind Me!, June 25, 2007

"I was skeptical so I ordered one to begin with thinking that if it worked on one then I would get another for the other mirror.
After installing it on the left mirror of my 2007 KLR 650 Kawasaki to my suprize it took care of the majority of the distortion in BOTH mirrors.
I wont be needing the 2nd one.

"They
have stopped the high frequency vibrations, but the low frequency
vibrations are worse. They have been on the bike two days and one is
already rusting. They need to come with 10 mm lock nuts to help with
mounting and compensate for the too long mounting stud.

Vibration gone, but...., July 7, 2006

"I bought these since my bike is an old CX500 and I thought this would be good for the commute. The vibrations are gone, but now I have wobbles. Of course doing this all by myself I haven't figured out what the next adjustment to make is, at the ends or the stalks. I had thought about Bar End mirrors, but this seems to suit the bike and the price was right. They also help raise the mirrors obviously and that helps with a clear view behind. The chrome is nice but I wish there was a black option instead, flat or anodized."

"they were relatively easy to install. the one on the right side had to have 4 or 5 threads cut off so it could seat well against the bracket on my klr 650. the mirrors still vibrate at low rpm's, but when increased they smooth right out. thanks"
