"I just got my new top in and installed it on my 1993 jeep in under 30 minutes. It looks good and the fit was perfect I would recomend this top to anyone who does not have a lot of money to spend, it is well worth the price."

Pros: Good material and well stitched. Cons: Obviously measured from a pre-shrunk top for fit.
"Overall I agree with previous buyers. A good product for the price but it's obvious why the stitching pulls out so soon. The top needs to be 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch longer overall. I could barely get the top to latch in front after installation and the window zippers are maxed out tight the first time they were "zipped." The top should be made larger to allow for shrinkage."

"If this top is all you can afford, its better than no top. But its nowhere near the Quality of a factory top.At highway speeds with the windows down it sounds like it is coming off!The windows are Very thin.And the zippers are weak. Three weeks after purchasing the top, the zipper broke on the back window.JC Whitney was very good about replacing the top. In fact I sent the whole top back, paid the difference and bought a best top instead."

"This was the first top I've ever put on a jeep, and it went on without any problems. From the get-go, ordering the top was a breeze. (there are so many options for your distinct door style) no problem. I'm not sure how much better a Best-Top would fit....really don't care because this fit perfectly even a couple hundred bucks cheaper."

My wife, reading the directions, and I removed the old top and put the new one on in less than 30 minutes. "This top is a good value considering cost vs others. Definitely lighter weight and quality than the original top so I hope it will hold up as long. Looks good and fits pretty good as well.
Only issues I had was instructions were not very good and illustrations were bad. When I put top on it was very loose and I could not figure out why. Read instructions 2 more times and I had attached to the header incorrect. This fixed the flapping problem once it was attached correctly. Other than this it would have been a very quick install.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for. The cost is substanially less than others and you can tell in the overall feel of top. But it looks good and keeps the rain out for now."

"I searched endlessly for a replacement top for my '98 Sahara. I wanted the fabric to be similar to the old canvas because I don't like the newer rubbery tops, so I decided on the Reply by Pavement Ends with the upper door skins because it's polycotton. This was an insurance settlement so I didn't have much $ to work with or time as the old top was useless and it is the rainy season. I bought from JC Whitney because of the customer service, the live chat (that is an awesome feature), and the free shipping. I just installed the top, which was fairly simple to do. The only problem I had with the install was step 3. I had to unscrew and rescrew two screws through the fabric to the header several times to get it right. It still is not perfect as there is a pucker in the fabric on each side of the header that I will have to fix. The top itself (without windows) fits super tight and looks good. My concern with the side and rear windows is with the plastic strips that hold them to the body. They are about half the width of the strips on the original top (the same is true with the strips above the door surrounds). On my rear window, the bottom plastic strips don't even fasten with the trunk door closed. They just flap loosly. When installing the door skins, DO use a shoe horn because it is a tight fit and they still don't look as good as the picture. When I shut my doors, they catch the top's fabric above the door surrounds. I hope once the weather striping settles this won't be a problem. Maybe everything will tighten up in the winter. I haven't driven at high speed yet to see how it rides. I may end up returning the top and going with a better brand. At least I have 90 days to make sure I am satisfied."

"My son suprised me with this top as a present. My 1995 Wrangler top had seen its last summer. After opening the box and discovering not only a top, but window skins also, I was pleasently suprised. My 5 year old helped me with the installation and still it took less than 1/2 hour. It is a perfect replacement top for the money. I am still not used to being able to see out of the rear window, but I am sure I will get used to it."

"1997 jeep wrangler i purchased after much thought i received after i returned from vacation the product was here i installed, it went on wonderfully easy. my wife helped with any holding and it went super terrific, im very happy with the top. the only prob i have is i must of ordered my new soft top when the promo for the window bag or the two way radios i must of hit between the two promos. but i am very happy with the top thank you"

"The top was much easier to put on than my old ripped-up top. Very simple to put on. To my suprise, it came with the door-skins. The only problem that I have with it; is when installing the windows, the rear window came with only one zipper. I've called JC Whitney about the problem. One should be sent to me soon I hope:)"

"I had to finally replace my factory soft top after 12 years. I had read the reviews here and liked what I read about the guy who had experience with both brands. "This is well made for the price, good fitment, BestTop is still the leader in quality (I have owned both) but if you are short on $ then this is definately the way to go. The only negative is the pull strings on the zippers fall off, also think the zippers are a bit cheap compared to the BestTop I had before. (replace with 550 cord)"

"I own a 1990 Jeep Wrangler and the origional top finally gave up to age. I searched several websites for a new top and finally purchased one from JC Whitney. Not only was it the best price, the quyality is also top notch. I actually followed the directions as my daughter read them to me step by step and it was the easiest I have ever put the top on my Jeep. I used all factory hardware and everything worked just fine. I did not have to adjust or change anything. If everything were as easy as this, life would be much simpler!"
