"I lived in the Arizona desert for 18 years, so I know what it is like to get into a HOT truck! Fans such as this model will help to guickly expell the hot air, before you start your air conditioner. Your AC will not have to work as hard to cool down the interior of your truck. At times when you do not have to have the AC blasting away, a fan such as this will help keep your cool in traffic, and help you keep you free of "road rage". Best of all, using a fan alone or to assist your vehicle's air conditioner will save you gas, having your widows closed at 65 mph save 2.5 gallons over having your windows open! Get a fan and keep your cool and save gas and money!
I have a 2004.5 Dodge 1-ton dually, Cummins 610 Diesel, four-door cab and using a dash fan saves me over 1.5 miles/gallon over using the air conditioner without the fan. Once cool, I turn the AC off and I keep my cool and save fuel at the same time. Look into the cabs of the big-rigs, most of them have auxillary fans, do you think that these professional drivers know something that we may not!"
