Good Truck add-on,

Pros: Strongly encourage for trucks with smoked/tinted rear windows or wooded property. Makes a huge difference backing up! Cons: The relay isn't sealed. Road spray tends to corrode the negative terminal. Have to replace the relay every 2-3 years.
"Easy install, especially if you have lift available. Since the relays usually get mounted under the body or truck bed, recommend lubricating with dielectric grease. That will slow down the galvanic corrosion. I'v had these lights for about 5 years; had to replace the relay twice and negative plug fitting 3-4 times. Also recommend wrapping in plastic to keep the road spray off. Other than the relay and fitting (something KC Hilites needs to improve the design on), its a great product. Makes backing up at night much safer!"

Pros: Nice look, easy enough for non electrical types to install. Cons: Price is kind of excessive, could sell for about $20 less to be more competetive. Paying for the name.
"Came packaged very nicely, everything you need. Instructions were pretty clear, and I'm not one who likes to mess with anything electrical at all. Had it done in about 2 hours, but someone who knows what they are doing could probably have it done in 30 inutes or less. The price is about 25% higher than it should be for what you get, but the lights look nice and function a lot better than my Jeep LJ's stock reverse lights."

Pros: Simple to install, good light spread Cons: not watertight
"It was simple to install, even in the cold. I added a switch on my dash ( the wiring diagram in the instructions shows that option as well) so I can also use them as work lights. They fuction just like your standard backup lights. Put it in reverse, they come on. Put it in any other gear, they go off. But with much greater illumination. And I can turn them on from the cab to use as a work light. Pretty cool. No more running over tricycles."

"These lights made a world of difference when I installed them on my 2006 F-150. Before the only kind of light I had was from my tail lights, but now I can see what is behind me while I'm backing out of my driveway or parking space. They were very easy to install, with a basic socket set and screw driver. Great Product!"
