OK for Flashing 3rd Brake Light,February 20, 2009

Pros: Compact, good price, quality wiring. Cons: They always flash, the two modules can be placed only 18" apart as shipped. Limited off-center brightness.
"I had purchased the red dual 8-LED product to use as supplemental high-mounted brake lights for my low-slung car. But because they can't be made to stop flashing, they're unsuitable for that use.
My state (IL) does not permit flashing brake lights, but if I can find a point in the electrical system that gives +12V when the ABS is activated, I might use them to supplement the standard third brake light."
