Pros: good quality, nice beam, great look!!!
Cons: cheap clip in the back, didn't fit perfect

"These headlights look great and also put out a very good beam. Im sure there are better headlights out there but you can't beat the price of these! The only bad thing was when I installed them in my 1997 Toyota Tacoma, they didn't quite fit all the way into the black housing area on the truck where the headlights sit. I managed to fit them though by bending the 4 little parts where the screws go through the metal ring that holds the headlight into the truck. Wasn't hard at all. Also the little clips that hold the bulb in on the back of the headlight aren't so good in quality. But they still work!!"

Pros: Greater visibility
Cons: Don't always fit to stock parts

"I put these in my '94 Isuzu Pick-up. The housing of the lamps were thicker than a sealed beam so I had to get longer screws to fasten the headlamp with the original bezel. The lights look great!"

Better lighting, nice look, May 18, 2008

Pros: Look great, good illumination
Cons: Fit loose in headlight buckets, sometimes fog up

"I have had the 6.5x4" rectangular lights with Sylvania Silverstar ultra bulbs on my 1989 Lincoln Town Car for over two years. They look great and provide much improved lighting over stock. The only problems I have had are that they fit loosly in the headlight buckets and sometimes fog up. The fit problem was easily remedied with some pieces of vacuum hose between the corners of the lights and the headlight buckets. They only fog up after it rains or I wash the car and usually clear themselves up in a few days if the vents in the back are kept clear. If you use 9003 bulbs you will need to switch the terminals of your headlight conectors around to make them work. This is the only SAE/DOT approved 6 1/2" x 4" clear conversion light kit I have found. They look great, work great, and I would definitely recommend them."

Pros: Looks great, better light pattern then stock sealed beam lamps
Cons: All plastic housing, bulb retainer clips didn't work

"These are great looking lights. the reflector is very clear so you get a nice even spread across the road. High beams go much further. The housing is plastic which is fine, should hold up to the heat output as long as you stick with 55/65 or lower wattage bulbs as suggested. The bulb retaining clips were standard H4 clips, but the design allowed one side of the clip to pop out when you press the rubber boot on to seal the housing. Even tried bending the clip a little to add more tension, but that made it worse. I ended up making my own clips to hold the bulb in securely.
I also recommend getting the upgraded headlamp connectors that JCWhitney offers. On my '92 Wrangler, the bulb contacts were a little dirty and didn't hold securely until I adjusted them. On an older Jeep, it's worth replacing those along with this new conversion kit."

Pros: Look good. Easy to replace burned out bulbs
Cons: None

"I had a pair of the 6x8" Pilot conversion headlights on my 97 Nissan PU truck for a few years until a deer decided to turn them out for me last October (2006). The body shop replaced them with the generic sealed beams.
I liked the idea of just unplugging the bulb rather than taking out the whole headlight assembly to replace a burned out light. I went a whole year with the generics because I couldn't find the lamps at my local brick and mortar stores where I bought the originals. I found them at JCW, so I just bought another set from them last month (October). They look great in combination with the StreetGlow H4 100/90 watt Xenon White bulbs that I bought at the same time."

"I bought the 6" by 8" pilot light for my 99 Cherokee. I recieved them in about a week and had them installed in about 30 min. They fit perfectly into the thin metal border which held my former Wagner headlights. I've had them for 3 months and...they still look AWESOME!!! Especially with the white bromine gas H4 bulbs."

"This lights look absolutely Superb on my 1982 Mercedes Benz 300 SD. I previously used Silvania Silverstar Sealed beams and these look way better. I've only had them on in my yard at night, but the light pattern looks really good. Overall, I think that using slightly thicker metal and tempered glass instead of acrylic (although acrylic is more resistant to stone chips...) would have been better, but, for the price, they're still awesome!"
