"Admittedly, my ride - an '85 GS550E - uses a front tire size (100/90X16) that's not too popular these days. I ordered online from JCW because I couldn't find a CS Hi-Max front in that size anywhere else. I've been using Hi-Maxes - front and rear - on all my bikes for over twenty years because of their performance and reasonable price."

Pros: inexpensive Cons: not for you hot rodders
"An inexpensive replacement for your average medium to high dollar tires if your hot rodding days are in your past. This is my second tire so I believe I can give a fair review. Traction is good in all weather for moderate/average ridding. I got about 10K miles out of the rear tire and am expecting more from the front. Appearance is good, looks like any other tire just not some trendy or "brand" name. So what if it's not an Avon tire I don't need a Avon tire!! I installed the tires myself, and it's just as difficult as those trendy/brand named tires. All in all ...good tire"

"I bought a matching front and rear tire. I didn't install them, I had a cycle shop do it. I noticed a change in the handling and ride the first time out. It was like I bought a brand new bike."

Pros: Great Traction wet or dry. Cons: None yet.
"I did not install these myself so I can't comment on installation. I had them installed on a 1982 Honda Magna. I couldn't be happier with these tires. I have not had them on fer very long (about 3 or 4 months) but have been very impressed. I had a valve stem break off at 65 on the highway on the front tire and when it went flat I was able to roll to the side of the road with minimal loss of control. I had the bike towed and the the tire repair and was told by the mechanic that the tire was still in new shape even having been rode flat ( although was only rolled about 150-175 feet ) I had my first opportunity ( or misfortune depending on your outlook ) to ride in wet weather just recently. the tires gripped just like I was on dry pavement. I noticed no difference in handling with the exception of stopping at stop lights were slime builds up in the intersection, they slipped some getting started but I don't know of any tire or vehicle for that matter that doesn't. They are a great tire and I will deffinately keep buying them to put on my bike."

"The last 4 rear tires i have put on my Goldwing have been this tire. I get between 8-9K miles from this tire I would rate it A-1 for the price. Thanks JCW."

"I didn't install the tire. I had a mechanic do it so I can't vouch for how hard or easy it was to install. The mechanic did say they were a cheap made tire and I would be lucky to get 6 or 7 thousand miles out of it. I realize that opinions vary so I'll just have to find out for myself. I do hope he is wrong because the price wasn't too bad. I put it on a 2000 suzuki vs800 intruder. The tire looks good and does seem to do a good job of gripping the road."

"I gave this tire top ratings in all categories because it is so good. Like any wide tire, it was difficult to mount until I discovered the big rubber mallet technique to get the bead started- the trick is to lube it up, hold the bead with one iron, then wail away at the other friction point to get it past the half way point where it will stay on, then finish with tire irons. Strips of used plastic oil botttles work well for rim protectors. This Cheng Shin model has a somewhat flatter contact area and apparently a harder compound, both of which may the reason they seem to wear so well - I've put 4,000 miles on it and it looks about half worn- much better than my previous experience with the Cheng Shin model C199 (Dunlop K81 copy), which only lasted a little over 3600 miles. The style E front tire in 100/90H19 also worked well for me, and was easy to mount. It, too is wearing well, and looks like it will last for at least 15,000 miles."

"I installed this tire on a 1984 Honda Shadow. The installation was relatively simple. My first ride was in the rain and the tire did exactly what it was designed to do. Although, I do miss the white raised letters that were the thing when this bike was popular."

"I own a 2003 Harley Davidson 1200 SportsterXLH. I go through several rear tires a year. I ride my motorcycle to work rain or shine about 40 miles a day. This tire has outlasted the original equipped tires and other name brands. It handles well in rain conditions, does not hydroplane, and appears to retain the air pressure within 2 psi. For the money, it is an excellent buy. Don't take my word for it, replace your motorcycle's rear tire with this one. You don't have much to loose. I usually buy two at a time to receive free shipping. Thanks and ride safe..."

"Pretty hard getting this thing onto a 1980 GoldWing Interstate. But well worth the effort. Tire rolles smooth and could tell right away the differance in handling(old tire was fattening out). Now I roll into turns with confidence!"
