Pros: Made to last & strong and the manufacture will stand behind its product. Cons: Can start to rust out if not taken care of ,and the anti - rattle bolt has a plastic knob.
"I would recomend this item to anyone that owns a late or early model truck. It looks great and with the use of so much plastic on the rear bumper of trucks today all you need is someone to tap you in the rear and your spending hundreds in repairs. This step assembly will keep the bumper looking good as long as your lucky enough that they tap it and not hit above it. Nothing will save you if slammed, but this will help with the taps."

Pros: Heavy duty construction Cons: Bulky
"I bought the black powder-coated 36" and 12" for my 1998 Toyota 4Runner. This is a quick and easy fix for those who need something to step on at the rear of their vehicle and want to take it off later (12"). It also is good at preventing other vehicles from bumping into you (36"). However, because it is bulky to look at, I'd recommend installing rear bumper guards for a better look."
