Perfect Fit, October 6, 2009

Pros: Easy installation.
Cons: Plastic wrapping, not shipped in a box, parts might get lost.

"Bought this Hidden Hitch for a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. Installation was really easy, there is a black box on the left side wich I guess is the Vapor Canister, it must be partially removed to install the hitch. Other than that smooth installation didnt take an hour."

Hidden Hitch for 2007 RAV4, July 25, 2009

"My 07 rav4 had rust built up in the holes of the frame that the hitch had to use. Had to spray penetrating oil and clean the threads with a small wire brush in order to get the bolts threaded. Other than that it was great."

Good Hitch, June 8, 2009

Pros: Stylish, Fairly easy to install
Cons: Not shipped in a box, bolts were lost during shipping

"I ordered this hitch for a 2004 F-150. The site said 7-10 days for shipment,which it shipped on the 10th day and I recieved the hitch two days later. The only problem was that the hitch was not in a box. They simply taped a piece of cardboard to the hitch and taped a bag with the bolts to the hitch. The bolts were ripped off the hitch during shipping so I had to call hidden hitch to have them send me a new installation kit. Not JC Whitneys fault, hidden hitch just doesn't pack their hitches very well. Installation took about an hour and a half by myself. I had to bend the hitch a bit with a heavy hammer to get it to fit on the frame. It also didn't come with fishing wire as it stated. Overall, fairly easy to install. Could be better packaged."

"As promised but even better. Ordered on Sat and at my door on Tuesday! Perfect fit for 06 Santa Fe. Installed in less than 30 minutes(had help from my sons). Wiring assembly a bit trickier because of access to tail light connections, but had hitch and wiring done in less than 90 minutes. Saved a lot of money doing it myself. great prices always helpful."

"The hitch was shipped on the 29th and I got it 2 days later. It took me about 45 minutes to install it by myself. The holes lined up perfectly. Looks good."

"Hitch showed up by FEDEX, no box or any kind of protective packaging. Hardware and instructions in a plastic bag taped to receiver. Hitch had some scratching through the paint.
Installed on 2000 Ford Explorer. Installation was simple and straight forward. I removed the full size spare tire just to give me more working room, but hitch does not interfer with spare. Fit perfectly using existing holes. Looks like a factory install. Wife and I had it installed completely in 35 minutes."

"Once I figured out the trick it was easy. I left my RAV4 resting on concrete and laid on my back. Allowing one side to rest on the concrete, I pivoted up the other end and started the screws. There is enough clearance in the holes to allow this. Then, it was relatively easy to lift the other end up and start the other 2 screws. And then I simply tightened all 4 screws and torqued them appropriately. Done.
Well, not quite. the wiring took longer with the wire routing and splicing with soldered connections I needed to do."

"The only problem wasn't JC's problem hidden hitch doesn't pack the hitch correctly and the hitch broke the box and was scratched I sprayed the hitch and every thing was ok installation was straight forward and easy to installed"

"excellent product.I bought a hitch for my Pilot 2005 it arrived in two days!Real fast!Unbelievable ,I went to a service man to ask for installation.He wanted $130.00 for fee,he said he needs two hour to work on it.I said I come back later! This it first time I do it myself.So,I went home look at my rear car about few minutes then I decided to do it myself.I took me 15 minutes to install.VERY easy!!"

"Have Trouble believing people who installed this by themselves in 1 hour or less. It was below zero in missouri but my son and I installed the hitch in about 3 hours on a 2005 (new style frame) F150 Ford 1/2 ton pick-up. On this truck you have to drop the vibration damper first. Everything was included to remount it after hitch was installed. As this hitch straddles the frame I had to take a 2 lb. hammer to the hitch to straighten it out and then it slipped right in. It is a waste of money to put this in a box, as every hitch I have bought from you (3) the box wasn't in very good shape when it got here. Some of the powder coat was missing and it had a bit of rust on it but that isn't a biggie. Most of the 3 hours was time to go inside and thaw out our hands."

"I installed this hitch on my wife's 2003 Kia Sorento. I read the reviews and thought (Right, a hitch that bolts on without any hidden problems.) To say the least I was skeptical. I decided to order it anyway. When the hitch arrived I thought I would try to install it myself with no help. What a breeze. It was a little difficult to hold in place with one hand and start the first bolt with the other, but I did it and finished the installation in about 15 minutes. The hitch fits perfect and looks great. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Do this yourself and save $$$ As for quality, the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is, I would have liked a better paint job on the hitch. Overall the product is great."

"I bought this hitch for my new '06 Nissan Titan. Having previously installed hitches on my two Nissan Frontiers, I couldn't believe how easy the installation on the Titan was. I did it alone in about ten minutes, including torquing the bolts. The Titan's frame is pre-drilled and pre-tapped for this hitch, so that helps, too. Six bolt/washer/lock washer installation torqued to 64 lb/ft. All bolts are identical, which also speeds things up. Tip: if you are installing alone, start on the right side in order to clear the tailpipe. If you start a bolt on the left side first, you'll be taking it back out. I found this out the hard way.

This round tube hitch looks great installed, but lacks the features of Hidden Hitch's square tube hitch I installed on my last Frontier. There are no mounting points for aftermarket wiring accessories. If this is a feature you want, consider Hidden Hitch's square tube hitch.

Regardless of which type you pick, they are both top notch, flawless construction."
