great product!,January 29, 2009
By L82PACEfrom Davenport, Iowa
Pros: Stainless steel, very well made, extremely durable
"Installation was a breeze. It was -5 degrees outside when I installed them, and it did take less than 2 minutes. Very well constructed. Alot better than the rubber ones. I also agree with the no rattling when they are down. Great product, will definetly last the life of this new truck."

Strong Like A Bull,November 5, 2008

Pros: Super Strong- Stays Up-Stays Down With No Rattling-Stainless Steel Cons: Needs a Gasket to Protect Paint From Hard Plastic Escutcheon. You don't get the cool Bully logo as shown in the photos.
"I think the truck's bed rail would tear before these monsters let go! They won't dehydrate & pop out like the ones made of rubber. The units are clamped in via a massive bottom plate. Centering arms are part of the device to keep the tie-downs exactly where they belong. The installation took all of one minute. As a matter of fact, I removed them in order to switch stake pocket holes. The task was complete well within two minutes. I'll be purchasing more. They stay up well & don't rattle around when down. (I had some that rattled and it sure drove me nuts!) I suggest, if you don't have rail caps, to put some type of non-water absorbing gasket under the escutcheon. It's hard plastic and probably will scratch the paint, or at least leave a halo bruise around the perimeter. I applied some window flashing tape (rubber) for this protection. I suspect electrical tape or closed cell foam strips would also work. Additionally, I used anti-seize compound on the screw threads because the <super heavy duty> plates they mount into are not stainless. The screws may become rust galled in time. I'll want to be able to remove them when I sell the truck ('cause they're the best I've tried to date and I'm keeping 'em)."
