Pros: Heavy duty construction

"I installed this kit on a Ford Superduty with 5th wheel trailer hitch. The kit is a easy bolt on and the control I got towing a 38 ft. trailer is outstanding!"

2005 Nissan Titan, March 3, 2009
By Anonymous from Wichita Falls, TX

Pros: Great product, easy install
Cons: Need a Tee fitting with the kit for inflating evenly

"I just installed this on my 05 Titan. I took my time and it still only took 2 hrs. A couple of hints/ideas: 1)I installed the air valve on the inside of the bed right next to the tailgate...bought a 90 degree elbow, placed it inline with the inflation valve, and tucked it in behind the tail-light assembly with plenty of room to spare. The hole (5/16") was drilled on the small bump-out just inside the tailgate. Figure it will get less wear and tear here. 2) Using the Tee fitting, the small flared tube inserts were a bit tight once placed in the tubing, so I cut them down (dremel and cut-off disc and needle-nose pliers) to about 3/16" - 1/4"...made life alot easier. Seems the tubing they were originally meant for is a bit smaller/thinner, but it worked for me."

Quality/Construction: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

Pros: easy install, rejuvinates tired springs
Cons: no tee in kit

"I hauled a 9000 - 10000 lb trailer with my 05 dodge with no problem. When I upgraded to a 13000 lb trailer, I figured the stock 3/4 ton suspension would not handle it. I was right, should have put them on a long time ago. I went to the hardware store and bought a 1/4" tee so I could air them up with one valve that I installed under the fuel door. I plan on buying a on board air system of some sort in the near future."

Pros: easy to understand instructions, quality materials and works as advertised
Cons: You would really benifit from having two people when installing. Drilling holes in the frame is no easy task.

"I gave this product a 4 point score because it was a little difficult to mount with just one person. It took much longer than I anticipated to install. The product seems to be of high quality. It works works very well. It will cause your vehicle to ride a little rough if you leave them pumped up with no load. Overall I like the product and would reccomend it to a friend and probably would buy it again for another vehicle if needed."

Pros: Heavy duty construction Instructions are very clear.
Cons: Press fit air valves are not easy to get to seal.

"Installed on a 1978 Dodge Class C (MB400 chassis). Install was straight forward and the instructions are clear. It is easier to install with help but can be done solo without removing the duals. Contrary to the answer about drilling in the questions area, you must drill 4 holes in the chassis to properly mount the airbags on the Dodge frame. Overall product is well made, but the "push fit" air valve system could do with some improvement... The is no way to check for an air tight connection without having the airbags mounted and if there is a leak underneath the chassis it is very hard to fix."

Pros: easy installation, under 1 hour
Cons: kit should include "T" fitting to ensure equal inflation

"A great product at a good price. Installation was easy. Product works as advertised. A "T" fitting should of been apart of the kit, that is why the 3 stars. These airbags are installed on a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 and I tow a 32 foot fifthwheel which also tows a jet ski. No Sag, No Sway. A definate plus to add to my towing vehicle."

"I have a 2007 F150 ext cab and the addition to the truck has been good so far. I pull a 26' bumper pull rv and noticed the stablility right away on the highway and on windy days. I would also highly recommend the addition of the compressor kit, which is a VERY nice addition to the air bags."

Pros: ease of installation
Cons: none

"I have an 07 Dodge ram 2500 cummins turbo, kit was so easy to install and every thing fit perfect.granted I did use the shops alignment rack to get the truck in the air.but all in all it took me 40 min. to install.I have a fifth wheel and my truck did sit level without the kit but the air springs did give it more support. With only 20 psi it lifted about three inches. We're taking about a 36 ft. trailer. So yes I would recommend to anyone extra support never hurts."

"I installed these SportRite Airbags on a 1999 Ford F-150 4X4 Supercab. The kit is made of quality, heavy duty parts and the instructions are adequate. The main problem with the kit and the reason for 3 stars on the ease of installation is the fact that the brake line relocation bracket supplied in the kit is not made correctly for this model truck. I had to drill a new hole in the supplied bracket to make it work. This was only a small inconvienence but when I buy a product at this price I expect it to work correctly without having to drill holes in it. The bags have held air for 1 week with no leaks. Also as a note for anyone installing these on a 1997-2003 F-150, I ran the air hose to the rear lic. plate and replaced the bottom screws with the air valves. Seams to work great and looks professional!"

"hey guys and girls if any,
This kit came in and first thing in my head is what the heck RED TUBING. This will stick out like a sour thumb.. I got some nice black stuff from work... They should change that.. I am not sure if your the same but black matches my truck frame.

Out side of that... The hardware is nice everything has vibra seal thread locker so that nuts stay tight. The other kit from air lift does not have that. This is a big plus.. Installed that one on my 95 ranger. The fittings on this kit are also metal and not plastic. The mounting brackets seem to locate much better when it comes to possitioning. Outside of that the over all package is well worth the extra five buck over the other kit listed.. I have them both trust me with that.. Anyway the air lift air bags are rated for 2700 pounds and I had 2600 pounds on the 1995 ranger with my stock leaf spring real nice. I thought I was going to loose a wheel bt everything held nice. I dont know what the 00 will look like with a load on it but we will find out how the firestone airbags hold up.. I need to bring a one ton pallet of pellets for my brothers stove that will be the first load on it.. The air lift bags did that with 40psi these look bigger and thicker rubber it should do fine..

Enjoy

"Put on a 2005 F150 Ford 4x4. The lower mount brkts had to be ground wider at the orginal truck spring cushion bumper brkt. The upper brkt fits OK but the design is not correct, it leaves the air bag top at an angle, it should be as verticle as possible. Great service from JC Whitney."

"I installed the kit on my 2004 F-150 to pull a 24ft. Travel trailer. The kit was easy to install, and simple to operate and works great. The only thing that was a little confusing is the upper brackets are meant to be installed on a designated side. The instructions do not point this out and I spent aeveral minutes trying to get the right side bracket on the left side. Once I figured it out it went very fast."

"I was putting these on my 06 Dodge 2500 PU to haul an 11 ft camper while towing a 16ft cargo trailer. The function of them was great and for the most part the kit was great. It was simple and straight forward except on the drivers side frame mount that replaces the bottoming pad. The brake line mount that is welded to the frame directly above is in the way. I ended up cutting the forward bracket end off removing a section and rewelding it with an 1/8th inch gap so that it could rest on both the brake line bracket and the frame on the other side. After that all was good."
