Pros: Easy to install. Inexpensive.
"This was installed on a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. Installation was simple. Van had soft rear suspension, especially on bumpy roads. My kids would get car sick. Now it is firm and ride is much better. When loaded, rear does not droop down."

Pros: Easy installation, inexpensive, works well.
Cons: None
"For the price, these helpers are great. They firm up the rear end but don't make it too stiff. Very easy installation."

Pros: low cost, very effective.
Cons: instructions are not specific to vehicle.
"I install the Extra-Heavy-Duty Leaf Spring Helper, Full Length, 33" Long, 2,000 lbs. Cap. on a 1996 astrovan equiped with a rear handicap ramp(this is heavy, the bumpstops where always touching the axles before the helper springs installation) also a pair of rancho shocks at the same time and it did wonders,it took me about 3 hours becouse you have do figure out how to install it."

Pros: Very simple installation, only three bolts per side
Cons: Instructions were a bit jumbled but not so much that I couldn't figure them out.
"These were very easy to install on my 1977 Toyota Corolla. It is not possible to find new leaf springs for this and I am riding flat on the back with no suspension whatsoever. I've been looking into getting coil-over shocks in the back to help with it, but didn't have $600 to fork out. I was just browsing and found these and figured I could spare $50 so I sent them expedited and got here sooner than I thought. Installation took only about an hour, and only that long because I installed the two sides in different places and found it works better when closer to the axle so I had to move the first one in. I got the 1,500 pound version and set it to the highest setting, and it made a huge difference in the way my car feels when going over bumps. I actually have suspension in the back! It didn't put it back to where it was when it was new, but still worked a lot better than expected. The upper bracket is kinda cheap, but that doesn't matter because it doesn't take any of the weight of the vehicle. I'm considering buying another pair so I have one on each side of the axle. Maybe that will get it closer to where it should be. Overall, if you have a car that sags a bit in the back, I recommend these 100%. Not sure how effective they are when towing because my car doesn't tow. With friends in the back it drives nicely though. (Much better than before at any rate...) It lifted the back of my car 2-3 inches."

"Despite inputing all of the vehicle data (2000 Chevy S-10 pickup, 2WD, ext-cab), the full-length helpers did NOT fit under the stock springs. The first (bottom) leaf is a "flat" leaf with no arch, and the helpers are not long enough to fit under this. The instructions give the option of either bolting under the entire leaf spring and plate, or of removing the plate and sandwiching the helper between the stock spring and the plate. Because of the length issue, neither of these options worked, and it was necessary to take the spring bolts out and slip the helper between the flat leaf and the next one up. Once installed, the springs did add height back into my sagging springs and have stiffened up the back of my pickup considerably. Overall, I would still have bought these, but I would have appreciated a better indication of the possible difficulties faced during installation."
