"I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado Z71 that I recently put 20inch wheels and tires on. The steering would wonder and bump around when the streets became uneven. I installed this stabilizer in about 30 mins and it has greatly improved my steering. I have no complaints with this addition. Very pleased. P.S. The skid plates cover it up so you dont even know its there."

Pros: Extremely easy to install. Took me all of 15 minutes Cons: No real cons on the actual product
"I installed this on my 1990 Jeep Cherokee XJ. The install was quick and easy and it looks great. It made a Huge difference on how my jeep drives. The only thing that was a little aggravating was when I got it about two weeks after I ordered it (I expected that). They had sent me the wrong one and it took another two and a half weeks to get the new unit that thankfully was the right one. JC Whitney was actually extremely easy to deal with on the phone to correct the situation. Overall very pleased."

"This steering stabilizer was very easy to install on my 97 wrangler, it may have taken me 15 minutes to install. My jeep's steering is much more stable on and off the road now because of this upgrade. Plus it looks better than the tiny factory black stabilizer. The only drawback for me was the yellow boot that came with it, and I ordered a different on to match my jeep."

"'97 chevy s10 ZR2 - i replaced my factory one that was worn out with this one, installation was easy but not very impressive. the bolt that goes through the rod-end and the steering bar barely fit through and the nut was maybe half threaded and the lock washer would not fit, so i used lock tight on all bolts and nuts. it works very well though it absorbs steering wheel kick pretty good, although the steering is much stiffer on the road but it is nice for off roading, i would recommend it for the price, im hoping mine doesnt fall off or come loose."

"This was a real nice addition to my 2003 wrangler with a small side effect - I can't drive with 2 fingers anymore as the frontend is much stiffer. Other than that, it was a semi pain to install as the bolt on the swing arm was pressed. The boot takes a little adjusting as it is slightly too big when the stearing is turned all the way to the right (the stabilzer is not expanded at all)
Over all, it makes for much better handling and control with a wrangler. It will take some time to get used to the difference in the steering however.
Note: Replace the big bird yellow boot with something that matches your jeep color ;)"

"I installed this on my 86 S10 Blazer that had a factory unit that was shot. For the most part it was a straight forward swap. The only problem i had was i needed to modify the pin that was supplied to get enough thread for a good lock. Other than that i am very happy with the results."

"Well, the whole thing was a pleasant experience, except for the original damper. I attempted to beat it out and nothing came of it. So I did what any qualified adult with power tools would do and I cut out the remaining swivel bolt. However, cutting was not all that transpired. After finding out that the bolt was hardened, I proceeded to beat it in a fashion that can only be described as "Angry Interegator." Of course this isn't something the instructions tell you to do, but trust me, it will make life a lot easier if you go ahead and get rid of the original equipment. Just be sure and save the bolt, washer and nut from the "small side.""
