Pros: Great prices nice shocks Cons: None
"If you know rancho's then whats there to say that you dont already know? Those that dont, its a great shock, not to stiff, but does the job when ya have some type of load on them. I've used ranchos on a few things and never had problems with them. I haul alot of firewood on some steep hills and they are just awesome under a load, great buy!"

Rancho RS5000,

Pros: Easy to install Cons: None yet!
"I have a 1996 Dodge 1500 with a 3 inch lift kit. The front end of my truck rode very rough. I didnt know if anything I did was going to make the ride better because of the lift kit. I thought that the lift kit was very stiff but i put these shocks in and now my truck rides 100% better. They dampen a lot of the rough bumbs in the road. As well as the shocks I replaced the upper and lower control arm bushings that also improved the ride greatly. We will see what happens after a few thousand miles!"

a nice shock,

Pros: good fit, nice ride Cons: no replacement hardware
"the shocks handle great and are easy to instal, but I did have issues with having to go to a hardware store to replace nuts and bolts. some of them were kind of specific to my truck such as the ones to mount to studs, but others could of come with the shock such as the small bolts that hold the front shocks on. on the same note, when I broke the stud off of my truck removing the rear shock, I found a nice replacement shipped with the new shocks. simply cut off the old one, drilled a hole in the plate where it used to be, and bolted in the one that came with. not sure if that was ment for another kind of truck or if they knew my old truck would need it, but either way, it was a life saver for me. saved me a few days of trouble and a hundred bucks to have someone weld a new stud in place. the first ride was like night and day. mud holes that used to bounce me around alot were like riding down the hiway. just to test, I hit a speed bump at 25. it used to shake me up at 15.. at 25, I sailed smoothly over it. all in all, a low price shock with a good quality."

Pros: Smoother more stable ride Cons: very difficult to install shock boot on rear shocks
"Just finished the replacement of shocks on my 2004 Wrangler Sport with 42000 miles. Found it very difficult to remove OEM front shocks...ended up having to cut them out. Manufactures shock do not have any means to remove the top nut once it gets rusted in place.....but what I expected from an OEM product. Was very happy to see that these Rancho shocks have a secondary nut for easier removal. Once the front shocks were off, it was very easy to install Rancho shocks. OEM back shocks were a bit easy to remove and replace. Very disappointed with Rancho and how they chose to manufacture and package product. Rubber shock boot come seperate from shock in same box. Which means you need to install the shock boot before installing the shocks. Not so hard to install the boot for the front shocks...near impossible to install shock boot on rear shocks. The top mount gets in the way of installing the shock boot...thus I had to cut the boot in order to install the boot correctly...would have liked to have seen Rancho pre install the shock boot...After test drive, I found the shocks to be very stable. Most of my driving is on road with occasional off-road stints. I found the roughest stretch of pavement to test the shocks. With OEM shocks I had to travel the road at less than 20mph or the Jeep would bounce around. Went down road at 30mph with no trouble. Only time will tell as to how these shocks hold up."
