Pros: Easy to install. Good bang for the buck.
Cons: The top spring seat that connects the spring to the shock is made of plastic. Might break down the road.
"I installed these on my 88' Toyota 4x4. The rear leaf springs were sagging. These overload shocks helped lift it back up a bit. I think it's still sagging a little, but much less noticeable. These shocks did noticeably stiffen up the ride.
Installation was easy. Just jacked up the frame on each side to unload the leaf springs and bolted them on. They fit right on there, no need to compress them.
The mounting bushings were a little smaller than the mounting brackets, but nothing a little WD-40 and a hammer couldn't overcome."

Pros: Installation was easy, they work as advertised.
Cons: Do not come pre-compressed.
"Replaced the rear shocks on my '92 Toyota 2WD pickup. Original leaf springs had sagged - rear end was noticeably low. Considered other products but these seemed to be the easiest to install. Installation was easy and they fit perfectly. Ride height (and handling) have improved considerably. Note: If you are inventive and find a way to compress these shocks part way before installation, things will go much easier. I used the "tractor drawbar and box elder tree method" - then used some utility wire to keep the shocks compressed about half way until they were in place. It would be nice if the manufacturer would ship them partly compressed (with retainer clips on the springs.) Other than that, I can find no fault."

"I have a 97 ranger and the installation was easy just jack the rear end up till the bottom bolt alligns up with the bottom of the shock. Shock raises the back of the truck up a couple of inches but i am not complaining."

Pros: SHOCKS WORK GREAT!!! SMOOTHS OUT RIDE, SLIGHT LIFT AND WORKS GREAT WHEN PLOW IS ATTACHED.
Cons: I WOULD ADVISE INSTALLER TO USE NEW GRADE 8 BOLTS AND PAINT THE COIL SPRING WITH A GOOD RUSTPROOF PAINT. SPRING RUSTS
"USED THIS STYLE SHOCK ON BIG CARS AND TRUCK. RIDE IS SMOOTH AND SOFT. IT IS NOT HARD AT ALL WITH ABOUT A 1 INCH RAISE IN HEIGHT! I'M GLAD TO SEE OVER THE 20 YEARS I HAVE BEEN USING THESE SHOCKS QUALITY HAS NOT CHANGED AT ALL!!!"
