Pros: Very thorough, includes torque specs. for all bolts/nuts!
Cons: None.
"I purchased this brand new book, updated in 1996, for my 1983 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD Belt Driven motorcycle. I was very impressed with this Clymer book: it even listed torque specs. for non-critical bolts, and nuts. It covers the bike more thoroughly than what I expected. I previously learned the importance of knowing, and applying, the correct torque to such critical parts as the oil filter bolt, because when I just guessed, it leaked. After buying a torque wrench, and applying the proper torque, no leaks, no problems. This book covers the bike in far more detail than I anticipate needing. However, I would rather have too much information, than not enough! At one point, the author discusses the fact that the owner can perform part of the repairs, by removing the part which needs to be fixed, then taking it to a qualified mechanic: this will save you, the owner, a great deal of labor charges, wherein the mechanic is busy disassembling your bike, just to get at the faulty part! He suggests you do the tear-down, remove the faulty module, and have the mechanic repair that, at a fraction of the cost of having the mechanic tear down your bike, and then build it back up. That concept alone, could save me a bundel of cash on my other motorcycle, which needs a couple of new gaskets in the engine block. I am very happy with my Clymer manuals, and I highly recommend them to every motorcycle owner, even if you don't want to get too deep into repairing your bike, you still will find great value in the specifications of your bike, such as: gas tank capacity, oil capacity, tire pressure recommendations, and simple troubleshooting techniques and approaches. These books are a must! Cheers!"
