This is a beautiful seat, September 17, 2008

"I purchased the Trail Boss in black vinyl for my 1979 F-250. This is a beautiful seat. It is a direct bolt-in for my stock bench seat. Be sure you have some ½-inch nuts and some fender washers on hand for installing your seat tracks onto the Trail Boss. The universal mounting plate on the Trail Boss does not clear the track sliding mechanism, but I tightened the bolts down (the mounting plate will deflect) and the seat slides back and forth just fine. I might have added spacers between the track and the Boss mounting plate, but I did not have any longer-than-stock reduced-head bolts on hand, so I had to use the ones from my existing bench seat. Everything works and the seat looks awesome. This is a HUGE improvement over my saggy, ragged, 30 year old bench."

"I was a little disappointed with the seat when it was delivered. First off, the quality of the fabric and the foam padding was a let down. I figured for the price the padding would have been a denser foam to give a longer lasting and durable seat. The fabric was not the a real durable type, just your basic cloth. The seat did not mount directly to the existing seat bracket, I had to drill new holes for the it to mount, plus shims were needed to level the seat up. I think that for the price I paid I should have reupholstered the original seat and saved $400.00 and the shipping cost. We'll see in 3 years to see if I eat my words and the seat is still in good shape."
