Pros: excellent price and quality
Cons: none yet

"I got these for my 1980 cb750c (ordered the eye to clevis ZX010314U) and they look to be very close to the original in height. The 2 stacked springs acts like the more expensive progressive rate springs so this is probably a decent basic economy priced replacement. I was pretty much forced to buy these because the next price point for rear shocks is around 2 times the price of these for shocks and springs. Haven't tuned the shocks for my weight yet so right now they are on the softest setting, but feel ok. Sorry I'm a new rider so not enough experience to provide a useful comparison.

The shocks are imported and I think it's the primary reason why they are so cheap, but don't be fooled into thinking they are low quality, they are very nice shocks at a price point that can only be accomplished by using cheaper foreign labor."

Pros: SURPRISINGLY GOOD LOOKING FOR PRICE,APPEAR TO BE WELL BUILT
Cons: CURIOUS TO SEE HOW NYLON RINGS IN BETWEEN SPRINGS AND AT BOTTOM OF SPRINGS HOLD UP

"SHIPPING WAS VERY FAST,PRICE IS GREAT,VERY GOOD LOOKING. ACTUALLY LIKE THE BLACK/CHROME LOOK BETTER THAN A ALL CHROME SHOCK.WILL BE INSTALLING IN NEXT FEW DAYS SO HAVE TO GET BACK TO YA ON THE RIDE. MY ONLY QUESTIONS WITH THESE SHOCKS AT THIS POINT IS THE COMFORT OF THE RIDE AND HOW THE NYLON/PLASTIC RINGS IN THE SPRING AREA HOLD UP,CAN'T WAIT TO GIVE THEM A TRY.BUT THEY ARE VERY GOOD LOOKING FOR THE PRICE. ALSO THE TOP PROTECTIVE CAP THAT THE DISCRIPTION SAYS IS BLACK PLASTIC IS ACTUALLY BLACK METAL ON MINE."

Pros: Easy install, nice black finish goes with anything, stiff construction
Cons: not much crome

"Took me just a few minutes to install these on my 1975 Honda cb750. Unfortunately my non spec chain guard doesn't fit anymore. Other than that even on the lowest setting it rides nice and stiff, level two is hard as a rock without a passenger."

Pros: Exact fit, Look Great, Feel Great,
Cons: None Yet,

"I purchased a set of these rear shocks for my 1981 Suzuki GS 750 E, JC Whitney offered 3 different shock 325MM, 335MM, And a 4-Way, Pictured in the add is a eye to eye shock, the 325MM & 335MM are both eye to eye shocks, the 81 GS750E is eye to clevis not eye to eye.
A simple call to the customer service confirmed the ZX010314U is a eye to clevis shock.
Customer service was great.
The shocks are more black then chrome, only the springs are chrome and the top of the cap, but they look great on my bike.
Riding and handling : My old bike rides & handles 110% better.
My bike is a restored Yoshimura replica historical so I was almost going to buy the factory shocks from my local Suzuki dealer at $198.89 EACH to preserve my vintage look, the picture in the cat. at the dealer was this exact same shock, since I couldn't get chrome like I had I started looking around Whitney was my 1st and last stop, saved me about $300.00 VS. the dealer.
Very HAPPY !
Ken"

"I purchased these for my 1980 Suzuki GS550L. They are great shocks and easy to install. The only drawback I found with them is they are not completely chrome like the originals. However the Black w/ Chrome Springs looks great."

"These fit perfectly on my '82 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim. About 3/4" longer than the original but added height for me was perfect. Great smooth ride and super easy to install!"

"My Bike: 1982 XJ650 Yamaha Maxim.
Contrary to the Reviews I looked at prior to my purchase. The Shocks were a perfect fit on my Bike. They look good and improved the ride of my cycle by many times over. I installed the shocks myself, If you install them one shock, one screw, and one nut at a time its easy. Price wise I saved lots of money, I would pay twice as much for oem's and these were a custom fit for my bike."

"These shocks went on a 1970 CB350, and they bolted up fine. Two problems is that they are aprox. 1 inch longer than the originals, and it is pysically ok, but the headlite needs to be adjusted up so the brite is brite. Secondly is the springs are made for a much heavier bike like a 900. On the softest setting I don't think they have compressed 1/2 an inch yet in normal road conditions."

"After purchasing this shock, I found that the shock was actually longer that the original by approximately 1.25 inches. This basically made my 1987 Virago 1100 stand 1.25 inches taller on the rear wheel. While this shock is very well made and offers good response to road variations, it would have been nice to let the buyer know that 1.25 inches taller WILL change the center of gravity on the motorcycle and affect the cornering and handling as well.

Overall, I do like the ride and feel of these shocks and I do expect that I will get used to the change in cornering and the total center of gravity due to the taller rise of the rear wheel. This is a good replacement for the worn out original shocks and I would recommend them with the note to be aware that your riding experience WILL change. Maybe this is not a bad thing as the motorcycle seems less "raked" now."
