"When in my Ford Taurus wagon, my 95 lb Lab liked to come up from the rear to ride shotgun and help drive (adjust mirrors, grab shifter, tune radio). I installed the barrier and am very satisfied. Assembly instructions were clear and correct. The wingnut tension adjustment is simple. The barrier's sturdiness is limited only by how tight you make it against the headliner. Since the barrier blocks the area above the seatbacks, I can fold down the seats and place long items in back (between the posts) without having to remove the entire barrier."

Pros: Look, Materials Cons: loosens with vibration
"Ths was simple to install, took only a few minutes. Looks great and works just as good. The only con is it is hard to tighten by hand. You will need at least a wrench to tighten this."

"I have to transport my golden retriever to and from the vet and purchased this so he wouldn't climb over the seats of our SUV. The instructions say 5 minute installation, and they don't lie! This item was very easy to install and seems very durable so far. It held up to my dog pushing on it for a 3 hr. round-trip drive. Great for keeping the dogs from jumping over onto the seat by the baby, too. The best part was, it was $20 cheaper than our name brand pet store!!"
