Pros: Low cost convenience

"It doesn't fit to the floor very well. It is wider than it needs to be and doesn't follow the contour of the floor. The plastic is much thinner than consoles normally are making it a bit flimsy. I do like the convenience of have cup holders and additional storage. I didn't want to drill holes into the car, so I used wide velcro strips near the base. Only the loop side of the velcro was used since it attached securely onto the carpet. Because the plastic is thin and flexible, it allowed me to press the sides in toward the floor giving a better fit."

"This fit in my 74 Beetle pretty easily. I drilled through the carpet with my Dremel without any hassle. There is limited space between the console and the brake pedal, but I have small feet, so it's not a problem. The unit only comes with three screws to secure the console in place and I needed to drill a fourth hole and add a screw to secure it properly. The boot cover is an added bonus, and the instructions have you fold inside any excess on the top. This won't stay in place and I had to actually sew the fabric on top by hand so it would stay down. All in all, it adds a nice touch to my Bug and holds two large cups full of coffee securely without any spillage, while the extra spaces are good for loose change, etc."

"The console is nice enough and easy to install but there is hardly any room between it and your brake pedal to get your foot in. Also, I used two sided tape to hold it in rather than drill holes through the carpet and floor."
