decent investment for my equipment,December 16, 2008

Pros: safely walk away with my cb in the truck now Cons: no good spot to mount hand mike
"The console it self is very sturdy and duarable. If you have a Jeep and a cb i reccomend one to lock it up. The down side is the instructions are very hard to follow. Eletric jack port inside and more predrilled holes for mounting cb would help had to drill two new hole in it to be able close and secure the door correctly."

"Installed in 1999 Wrangler with hardtop: Pros: Contents good out of box. Good written instructions with console. Heavy duty lock mechanism, not cheap furniture grade. Good finish and easy to install. Cons: Very unclear on how to mount electronics into drawers, I used zip ties for my CB. Photos with directions fuzzy and not clear. Lock to drawer interface loose causing a rattle, fairly easy to correct. Unit can be locked with one drawer in the down position. Suggestions: Installing a terminal block for power would make installation a lot cleaner. I installed my own so electronics can be swapped without running new power wires to the dash. Overall I would recommend purchasing of this unit for installing additional electronics."
