Pros: Use these thing in about 99% of places the you would normally use pop rivets and or sheet metal screws
Cons: The #6,8&10 mandrels seem to break easy, need to keep a few extra's in your tool box
"This is one handy lil tool to have in your tool box. I use it anywhere getting a nut or spring clip installed would be a pain to do. Its a great way to mount brackets for break controls, radar detectors,C.B radio's to shifter boots and even those big heavy truck mirriors. I've used this product for mounting all kinds of stuff and not just automotive related either. I've used the inserts not only in steel sheet metal but in a veriaty of materials including plastic. This thing gets the job done and makes life a lot nicer for future work once installed. Course this tool aint perfact! After using this tool I dont recomend using the steel inserts with the smaller mandrels( #6,8&10 ) for they do break easy, so keep an extra one or two in your box just in case and the inserts that came in my tool kit where smooth outter which didn't always grab when installed but the replacement inserts I bought, I found I could get with a narled outter and have yet to have one of those not grab and if you should have one go bad or get damaged no problume, just drill it out like you would a pop rivet , with the same size drill bit you used to install it and install a new insert and your done!"
