"I tow an 8,000 pound travel trailer, with an 88, F150 4X4. I did not need a 50 pound winch on the front of my truck. I choose the Superwinch GP1800. The unit is small And weighs only 15 pounds. I made a reciever, winch mount that would fit the trucks front, or rear reciever and installed electrical connectors. that way I could use the winch on either end of the truck.
I tested the winch after installing it. I could not believe the power. the winch is small enough to store in a two bowling ball, bag. The winch is stored, in the truck shell, untill it is neded.
To date, I have winched logs, ATV and a flaming dumpster."
