Excellent Towing Mirrors, August 23, 2009
By LHCJR

Pros: Easy to install, excellent vision

"Highly recommend these mirrors. I had one fail and replaced under warranty, but other than that I have no complaints. The power functions are just like stock and now when I'm pulling a trailer with my 2001 Silverado, I can see what's going on back there."

Better than stock, May 1, 2009
By RENOVATOR99 from Western Slope, Colorado

Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Be careful going in garage

"The mirrors were very easy to install. Someone complained that the mirrors shook some, maybe in wind or rough roads. I think the bolts, especially the furthest one in, may not have been tightened enough. I notice a slight shake but certainly not bad enough to complain. Special tools are almost a must to tighten all the bolts. The mirrors work very well. I have made a 750 mile trip with the mirrors pulling our camper and I would never go back to the stock mirrors."

Great Product, March 4, 2009
By BayouRebel from Broussard, Louisiana

Pros: They are very durable and easily installed.
Cons: I had to use some black silicone to dress the bracket to the pickup door.

"I was very surprised as to just how HUGE the mirrors are. It will take a little time to adjust the mirrors because of the shape of the mirriors. I can view my 3880 FTDS Legacy Jaco Fifth Wheel RV with more confidence than ever before. I had been searching several years prior to finding them on-line. The price seemed to be a little high but worth ever penny. The old over the mirriors have been placed in the trash pile."

1999 Tahoe 2Dr 4WD, February 24, 2009
By DesertDon from New Mexico

Pros: Large, Adjust easily, All parts included
Cons: Heavy

"These mirrors are HUGE. They are as big as the factory towing mirrors on my F350. They were very well packaged, and all the hardware was included. A short 10MM socket with a flex adapter is a handy tool to use, and a magnet on a shaft will help you keep from dropping any hardware. Did I mention that these mirrors are HUGE? I may go back in and install some fender washers behind the nuts to possibly reduce the little bit of vibration you get on rough roads. You can easily see around any trailer you can legally tow."

Just What I Wanted, October 28, 2008
By madvette from Tennessee

Pros: Great view when towing
Cons: Don't have any at this time

"I installed these manual mirrors on my 2004 silverado. It took about 20 minutes to install both mirrors. They do the job I expected them to do and they look great doing it. I thought they looked large when I installed them but after a couple of months now I see they are just right, everyone else's are just too small."

Good value, October 26, 2008
By marvinp from Colorado

Pros: Look better than origingal size mirrors
Cons: Bolts didn't match holes in door frame

"The upper stud on mirror base didn't match hole in door frame on either side. Drilled two new holes and installed. Fit was good, quality is questionable. will have to see how they last."

Pros: Large and can definately see when towing
Cons: Large, creates yet another blind spot.

"Ease of installation was a snap because our mechanic installed them for us. Takes awhile to get used to their size but they work great for towing. As for their quality, so far they seem to be good but they were just installed only a few weeks ago. We'll have to wait to see if they are quality or ?"

Pros: Excellent look, and fit, ease of installation
Cons: POOR Quality control

"I received the mirror's, installation was a breeze, although I agree with another posting.. have a long 10mm or it could be painful. Mirror's size was fantastic everything was good until 4 days later the passenger side glass fell out of the housing, I did get a replacement and it fell out also...
I returned the whole set maybe the next ones will be better, I'm not ready to give up just yet!!
They are far and away better than standard mirrors and aftermarket attached types.

Simply EASY, June 29, 2008

Ease of Use/Installation: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5
Quality/Construction: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

Pros: Indeed Custom Product
Cons: Size

"OK, so installation WAS indeed just as simple as can be. 20 minutes max. Only advise, make sure you DO have a LONG 10 millimeter [metric] socket for your ratchet, otherwise you may have to tighten it the good old way.
I DON'T know what a prior reviewer meant with "having to take the entire door panel off" - for my 2001 Silverado 1500 all I had to remove in the interior was a little plastic triangle covering the screws.
Also there is no extra kit or anything to go from electric to electric, another worry I had. Same plug into existing plug. It truly is OEM quality.

Only thing I had to get used to is the size and shape: the original mirrors are oval and horizontally oblong. These ones are vertically oblong and have a different mirror tilt. But again, that's just getting used to NOT a problem.

"I have a 2003 Chevy 2500 Silverado, the mirrors went on with no problem but the installation instructions did not say that the interior door panel had to be removed or how to remove it. Other than that I am very satisfied with the mirrors."

Cons: none
"My fiancee bought me these for Christmas, I was so suprised the best gift ever! I have a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD when I first opened the box I thought WOW these were huge and would look silly like a dump truck. Installing was very easy, these are the electric mirror that I got. Before I had the mirrors that you just slip on the stock mirror and those were terrible always vibrating and very hard to adjust. This mirror is so much better in visibility. And the size of the mirror makes the truck look more aggressive."

"I have a 2000 GMC and found the mirrors to be exceptionally well fitting. So easy to install it only takes about 20 min for both of them. These are large mirrors with excellent rear vision. Do not let the size scare you when you hold them next to truck. they sort of srink a little when installed. Heat and electric features work perfect. Wiring is a snap. Selecting the right mirrors from the list provided is a little difficult. (they had two models of same truck for 2000). I would highly reccomend them for someone needing upgrade for towing. Looks almost factory."

"I have an '06 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Extended Cab and while the mirrors look and work great, installation is not as easy as the included directions imply. I don't know about earlier models, but do not, I repeat do not, follow the directions included with the mirrors. You can't simply pull the wiring harness out of the door. Installing these mirrors requires completely removing the inside door panel as the wiring harness plugs directly into the window/door lock control console in the door. Additionally, the truck as-purchased windows are anchored at two different points under the door panel. Aside from that, the windows look and work great. They work as advertised and I would recommend them to anybody."
