"I am a professional driver with over 2 million, accident free, miles behind me. I purchased this mirror for my personal automobile. This is what I have to say about the 17" panoramic, anti-glare mirror:
This panoramic mirror is a full 17" wide and has anti-glare for night driving. You can see perfectly during the day, too. It is flawless in every way, from easy installation, anti-glare, light weight and gives you a great panoramic view of everthing beside and behind your vehicle. You will be amazed especially when you need it the most in heavy traffic, or when backing out of congested parking spaces. This mirror is perfect for eliminating blind spots so you can easily change lanes with complete confidence and safety. It causes me to wonder why this mirror isn't Standard Equipment on all factory vehicles. It should be!
The installation process is so easy, too. Anyone can do it in less than one minute. This panoramic mirror is light weight so you don't have to be concerned if your existing mirror will hold the weight.
The price of this panoramic mirror is unbelieveable, too. It is a great value for the price. It would make an excellent Christmas gift for those whom you love and care about."

Pros: This mirror provides unbelievable rear vision and is easy to install. Cons: It gets in the way of the sun visor and came loose when I moved it to flip the visor down.
"This is a low cost and effective way to increase rear visibility and driving safety. I purchased it as an experiment thinking it might be a novelty item that had a chance of collecting dust in my garage, but I am really impressed with how much more I can see around me when I drive and back up."

Pros: Well constructed mirror Cons: Bracket
"Bracket does not adapt easily to mirrors, such as my Solara's, that are wide at the center (probably to accommodate compass vitals or other hardware).. Takes getting used to the 'new view,' especially as your eyes check between the mirror and the outside rear view mirrors."

Pros: Optically correct, glare free Cons: Some Sun visors will not go all the way down, clamp may not fit all mirrors
"I own two and just bought another one--all 17 inch mirrors. I have been using this particular brand of mirror for over 15 years. It has saved me countless accidents, running over people walking behind my car as I back out, and keeping an eye on the kids in the back. You want this mirror because it is glass, not plastic, is optically correct (no things appear closer than they are labels apply here), and with one look you can see 170 degree's behind you with the 17 inch mirror. This virtually eliminates blind spots. Everyone asks me where I get this mirror because they want one as well. I wish all cars had this mirror as a standard equipment. However, there are a few downsides to this mirror. Depending on the vehicle it may not allow the sun visor to come all the way down. My take is do not use the visor and wear sun glasses. The way to tell if this will be a problem is to flip down your visor and see if it aligns with the mirror and how much depth is there. You need about an inch of depth. Note since any rear view mirror is slightly angled make sure to account for the fact the visor on the driver's side may be fine but the passenger side may not come down. I have had a few passenger's quickly put down the visor and caused the mirror to be pushed back causing me to scold them and readjust the mirror. Thus if you have a big truck, suburban, etc. you should have no problems. The other issue is the clamp. If your rear view mirror has a big curve on the back of it, then this mirror may not clamp very well. I typically wedge the clamp in the rear view mirror seam around the outer edge where the rear mirror snaps together. Also, if you have big subwoofers with 110db of bass or more, this mirror may vibrate itself off the rear mirror. Of course at this volume your eyeballs are probably vibrating as well causing blurred vision so you should not be driving anyways:) When adjusting the mirror do NOT hold onto the clamped on mirror but slide your hand behind the rear view mirror and adjust it that way. This will prevent the clamp on mirror from loosening and coming off the rear view mirror. I had this on a vehicle with onstar buttons on the bottom of the mirror and the buttons were still accessible with the mirror clamped on. I have used the mirror over the years in a 1994 volvo 850T, 2003 yukon Denali, Lexus ES350, Hyundai Santa Fe 2004, Ford Explorer 1992, 1988 Ford Escort, 1990 Dodge Caravan, 1999 Suburban."
