Pros: ~270 degree view, blind spots covered
Cons: slightly weak construction , night-time glare, can see own & co-pilot's forehead
"This is a good product, though you'll have to get accustomed to losing your old habit of checking blind spots :) Now I can enter and exit freeways just by looking into the mirror.
Coverage: well upto 2nd row passenger windows. All you need to take care of (when you are driver, of course) are your own windows (which is pretty easy).
Cons: Only the night time glare may interfere, this can be removed by tinting this glass or your rear window.
The glass, is thin & can come out of the holding easily (sure but it doesn't fall off). The fitting with the screw requires some fiddling.
Pros: But, really good thing for the price (even if you do the tinting yourself)- 95% percent needs taken care off (compared to the expensive ~$50 one on sale).
will recommend to anyone !"

"The mirror eliminates blindspots as advertised and gives you a panoramic view of the rear and sides of your car. This helps especially when you are considering changing lanes, and other cars are potentially in the blind spot for your factory side rearview mirrors.
I've owned one of these mirrors for over 15 years, and just ordered another one for a second vehicle. The constructions remains the same. The mirror surface is of unknown material, but since it is advertised "unbreakable" it is probably made of some kind of plastic. However, the optics are very good, similar to a factory mirror. Installation requires a Phillips screwdriver to tighten a metal clamp onto the existing mirror. The panoramic mirror is quite light, so the additional weight doesn't cause the mirror mount to fall off the windshield or go out of adjustment. That was something I was wondering about when I first installed one of these mirrors.
Now, on to the disadvantages. If you have a car with a fancier rearview mirror, it might have buttons for Onstar, display for Compass/thermometer, etc. The panoramic mirror will cover up the old mirror and you will lose all that functionality.
Also, the panoramic mirror is not a switchable day/night mirror. All cars these days either have a manual switchable day/night mirror (actually two surfaces that you select via a lever to flip the mirror up/down slightly), or higher end mirrors have a pushbutton or automatic sensor that changes the mirror surface electrically between the night tinting or daytime clear view. You lose this functionality with the panoramic mirror.
The panoramic mirror interferes with your sun visors. You can flip the visor down and back to the up storage position OK, but it will cover part of the mirror when in the down position. And you'll have a difficult or impossible time in general to flip the visor forward and up toward the windshield. Depending on the car, you may be able to sneak the visor over the top of the mirror, but in my experience that has not been the case.
If you are a tall person, where your eyes are at mirror level, you will lose some forward vision due to the larger surface of the panoramic mirror. However, if you are short enough where your eyes are below mirror level, this is not a concern.
Overall, it's a good safety product due to the elimination of blind spots and the ease of installation."

THIS MIRROR SAVED MY LIFE !!!,
July 4, 2006
By Lothar Loc'Nar

"The 17 inch mirror saved my life more than once. My father had ordered it out of the catalog way before internet was ever was invented. I had it when he installed it on his old Buick station wagon and when I bought my "75" Scirrocco I put it on that then when I took that car to Germany I had it there and even when my Scirrocco died in Mannheim I took it off and put it on my Sentra I imported to the USA. So now I have it and an attendent at a car wash place bumped it and it fell off and broke exactly in the middle so I need another one.I'm gonna replace this one and give the original a good respectful burial. When this new one arrives. I highly recomend it to anyone and I can't drive without it."
