Pros: Perfect fit and easy to install.
Cons: No instructions. You must reuse some of your old trim! Bad news if it's dry rotted.

"The channels fit extremely well and were very easy to install. The only problem is that you must reuse part of the original trim, (the curved plastic piece at the front bottom corner of the window), otherwise you have a large gap with no seal! This is a big problem if yours is dry rotted and cracked!"

Pros: worked great for my van
Cons: not listed for my application

"this weatherstripping is listed for 67-72 f-series pickup but it also fits 69-74 econoline vans with just some minor triming at where the top meets the division bar . It is a little difficult to put in as you have to take the door apart but well worth it, as it not being done that often. Use some silicone spray to help the rubber slide in the track easier."

Pros: Quality, flexable, durable
Cons: takes time to install them the right way.

"I have been very impressed with JC Whitney weatherstripping! This is quality stuff. The channel weatherstripping took a little bit more time to install becasue of the bends at the top of the window and where it meets the vent window. It is almost best to start in this location and then start working your way around. Great seal so far!!!"

Pros: High quality construction and materials. NO problems there.
Cons: Fit isn't 100%. Slightly difficult to raise windows. But after time I'm sure they will break in.

"I was unable to get my windows out of the way to install it myself. So I had a glass co. install it for me. If you don't have a good manual for your truck, installation can be difficult. The fit on my application was a little tight, so that's why operating the windows is a little difficult right now. But the doors shut tighter and I have tons less wind noise. Definitely a lot better than before installation."

Pros: Look great, work great as well
Cons: None really

"These are a real value, and work and look great. As far as installation, they are not hard to do. You should have access to a good service manual that shows you what the inside of the door looks like before you start, how to take off the door panel etc without breaking anything, and what must be removed to get the rubber installed. You have to figure out some things as you go, but if you have decent skills, and patience it is not that hard to do. Look for the cuts in the rubber for a corner bend, and line things up before you rip out the old stuff to see how it will look when done and you should be fine."

Window quick and cheep fix, December 23, 2007

Pros: makes windows operate like new--really great
Cons: 1st one is tough to install until you learn the tricks

"These channels did wonders for the window operation in my 1984 ford F250. After over 250,000 miles the windows were getting very difficult to raise and lower. The installation requires removing the glass, so I took the opportunity to add dark film to help the A/C.
I would highly recommend this to all high mile vehicles.

Snug fit and holds the window firm, September 20, 2007
By anonymousjay from San Diego, CA
Appearance: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5
Ease of Use/Installation: 3 out of 5 3 out of 5
Quality/Construction: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

Pros: Good Value, Snug Fit, Relief Cut Corners
Cons: Tough Install, Requires Finess

"This product looks nice once it is all fitted. Installation is kinda tricky. Took me a bit to figure out to start from the corners and work my way down the channel. The corners are relief cut (not "molded" as stated) to form to the curves of the window. I still had the window in the door so it was kinda tough to work around. A little 3 in 1 oil and about an hour and a half, I had my new rubber.

Looks sweet all finished. Holds door firmly.

"This easily fixed the wind noise I had in my 79 F250 pickup truck. Also makes it nice for keeping out the winter cold!. However plan on removing your door panel to install this. Also, the set sold is for one door only, so plan on ordering 2 if you need to take care of both doors."
