"I have a 1977 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 and I always wanted to install a Dixie horn on my truck, but I didn't want an eleven note horn. Thank you JC Whitney for offering the EXTREAMLY AUTHENTIC 12 note Dixie horn. If you were a fan of the Dukes of Hazard like I was and still am, you will love it."

Pros: I love the sound of the horns but Cons: the compressor is very loud and takes away from the overall sound quality.
"I would recommend this product to anyone if the compressor wern't so loud.I have used wd40, rubber bushings and anything else I thought would quieten the compressor down to no avail. The compressor could certainly use some work."

"i instaled this horn on a 86 camaro at work and i loved the way it sounded. it was a breeze to install and mount. i recomend installing the horn behind your grille for the best sound, i tried a couple of mount locations."

"this thing is amazing fairly easy to put together when i first tried it i thought to myself what the heck....this is a waste of 70 bucks but i put some oil in the compressor and this thing sounds amazing that is the most important thing is to put oil in the compressor a light weight oil like wd 40 or 3 in 1 oil works great trust me o and people say the compressor is loud...you don't hear it after u oil the compressor well u hear it but its not loud at all this thing is great everyone loves it even in illinois"

Pros: It's cool that these horns are being produced and JC Whitney carries them. Cons: These horns are not made to be mounted in a mid-sized car. The horn could be louder.
"The horn is great, fairly easy to install except that in a '92 Chrysler LeBaron there isn't any where to mount the horn without it being totally out of the way. I had to mount it on the header panal in front of the air condenser, which puts it at risk of being hit by debris while I'm dirt track spectator racing. It also is kind of in the way for air flow, LeBarons don't have much of a grill opening to begin with! The fans love it when I blow the horn when I win, but the horn could be louder! And yes, the next project for the car in getting painted hemi orange! Does JC Whitney sell that color of paint and General Lee decals? Thanks for the great products line JC Whitney!!!"

"i have a 2000 toyota tacoma and i have always wanted the dixie horn i have finally got it took me about a hour to install but it sounds awesome i had a little trouble with the free horn button every thing was done but the button was not working but i rewired it to another switch and it works great if u want a dixie horn i would get this one"

"It sounds really good, but my '88 YJ has a low tone horn that is almost as loud. I drilled holes into my tire well under the hood, so some silicon would be smart to have if you're gonna follow suit, just to seal the inside off from the tire splatter. Hooked up nice and I run it as an auxillary so it's horn button it came with was a sweet deal. If you can't get everything right next to the each other, you will need more tubing, but mines all pretty close."

"I have a 2008 Dodge ram 1500 and I like the horn a lot. It will put a smile on your face trust me. Some things to consider when buying it are, more wire, inline fuse, connectors, definately more hose for the horns and a place to mount it to inside your vehicle. I made a bracket for mine. Sometimes when the horn gets hot it does not sound that great but its still an awesome horn, I like it and everyone who hears it likes it."

"I have had this horn for about 4 years and it has been in 3 diferent trucks ( now it is finaly in a dodge lol) It sounds great and lets people know when i arrive! Other than replaceing the hose after 3 years it has worked beautifull! I love it and would recomend it to any Dukes fan(like myself) or anyone who just wants a coll horn!! OH and the air hose is cheep I paid $0.88 a foot."

"I have owned many styles of the dixie horn from electronic to another brand air and by far the WOLO Dixie horn is the best. I never had one fail me yet other than one a smart friend of mine put m&m's in the trumpets to see if it would blow them out (it didnt) and on a nice hot day they melted inside of it and messed up the trumpet. But as for sound its great, quality great, and some of these are slow playing not the WOLO it is perfect. I bought 2 on a weekly special just because it was a good price. If your thinking of getting one buy this, you wont be dissapointed. Espcially if you have bought the other kinds. Get the best right here at JC Whitney."

Pros: Nice and loud plus I read all the reviews before I installed the kit onto my quad. Looks and sounds awesome on a quad Cons: Horn button hard to wire and keep from gounding out, Compressor is loud
"It took 15-25min to figure out where to put the horns. The left front fender well. After I bolted the horns on I ran into a problem putting the compressor on. The compressor bolt hole wouldn't hold the bolt in place. ie when I tried to tighten the compressor to the fender well, the bolt kept turning not allowing me to tighten it. I found an old bolt (too big), sanded it down to fit the hole for the compressor. BAM! it worked! The only other problem I had was keeping the wires on the toggle button from grounding out next to it was the mounting ground for the button. Looks Like A Rednecks Quad now. 2003 Kawasaki Prarie 650 4x4"

"It sounds wonderful and everone that has heard it loves it! There wasn't much space under my hood to fit the compressor and horns so I had to put it behind my grille but that was no big deal. The only thing that could have been better was the amoutn of hose that comes with it. I was about a foot short. Other than that I am completely satisfied and would reccomend it to anyone."
