Pros: Easy Install, sounds awesome.

"Installation was very easy and straight forward. It took less than an hour. Only noticable difference is the sound above 2000 rpm. Makes my motor sound very mean. Its making my right foot very heavy. So far haven't noticed any mileage difference, but been in the gas a little more. The sound of the motor is worth the price of admission."

Pros: This item does increase the horse power for my truck
Cons: This item doesn't excatly fit in the 05' Ram

"I wasn't provided enough rubber hose for intake, you'll have to cut the manufactored case vent hose to install this item. The 5/8" 90 degree vent barb isn't needed being that you'll have to cut the case vent hose. Doesn't look very good with the heat shield provided. The intake sits on top and covers up the oil dipstick. The intake sits to far away from the air temperature sensor that it barely fits in the intake you'll have to stretch the air temperature sensor to make it fit. i recommend you purchase smaller hose clamps for the case vent."

"I INSTALLED THIS ON A 2002 FORD F150 WITH A 4.6 V8 ENGINE . TOOK ME BETWEEN 1 1/2 HOURS TO 2 HOURS TO INSTALL.. BUT I TOOK MY TIME.. LOOKS GOOD... SOUNDS GREAT... NOTICABLE PEP & HORSEPOWER BUT DID NOT SEE A MPG ADVANTAGE .. BUT WHO CARES .."

"Generally agree with Aaron from Mass. '04 Dakota, most of the diagram was helpful; exceptions: the A/C compressor photo is different, though its mounting bracket provides a very close point to attach w/ little complication. Throttle body was a slight problem - you have to really force the rubber coupler over the TB which makes me wonder about long term durability; it can be clamped down with no leaks, however. Also, if you do not have cruise control, you will need to purchase a 10mm locknut for one of the attachment points. 1hr is sufficient.
The added HP is noticeable as you break about 3000, the great sound kicks in at 2000. On a truck, I would rather have the gains at low rpm, so I am not certain this is going to help with hauling or towing. On long distance trips loaded and unloaded, I have noticed no significant gain in MPG which was disappointing.
Very easy to install, aside from the needed coupler for my model, hardware is of high quality - among the best 'bolt on' products I have personally installed. A ridiculous acoustic improvement, loud when you are on the throttle, subdued when not, just right. This alone may justify the part, but for under 10hp improvement high on the rev scale, I am not sure the KN 77 is 'logical'. 10%hp and 5%mpg improvement should be minimums, I think. But it does sound like a different engine..."

Pros: I installed this product on my truck within about 45 mins, and thats without the right tools !!!!
Cons: I notice a little resonance around the 1200 rpm range .

"I would say all in all, a wonderful product . Looks great under the hood and does perform very well . I noticed horsepower gains but I can't say that the mpg is any better ."

"I have a 06 Tundra and I must say that this is an excellent product. Very easy to install and the instructions where right on the money. It took me a little under an hour to install amd it looks great when finished. The sound of the truck is incredible when you accelerate. Noticed some horse power gain as well. I would recommend this product to anyone."

"I bought the intake for my 2003 dodge dakota 4.7 liter. It took about an hour to install, everything fit perfectly and the truck not only has more horsepower but sounds great. The installation instructions that came with the unit were dead on and i couldn't be happier. I would definately recommend this to anyone looking for an intake."

"Very pleased with product overall. Slight resonance about 1500 rpm part throttle, other wise cant really hear it. Full throttle blast sounds great, revs quicker. Trans shifts firmer, but that is a good thing. Dont quite understand correlation."

"I recently purchased this K&N product for my 03 Z71 Tahoe and I have to say so far I am very impressed with this product. It took about an hour to install (Could had been less time but I'm pretty particular about things being perfect and clean on my vehicle) it added a nice throaty sound when you drop the hammer and it is very similar sounding to my best friends 06 Vette he just purchased. It has a nice clean look under the hood and overall has been a great purchase. I recomend this product to all who are thinking about getting an intake. Thanks JC Whitney and K&N for a sweet addition."

"The product arrived well-packed, and all the instructions were easy to follow, except for a couple:

1. When you disconnect the Mass Air Sensor connector, you must reach with a screwdriver under the "hooded slot" in the connector, and pry up the plastic 'hook', or you will break the hook off and the connector won't lock in place afterward. I learned the hard way!

2. The hose clamps provided are NOT big enough to fit the mass air sensor. You have to use one of the stock hose clamps to fit. This was disappointing as I'm a bit of a perfectionist.

Other than that, the install took about half an hour, and was really easy.

I really like the look of the polished kit, everyone who looks under the hood says something like "OMG what is THAT?!"

The truck is slightly louder now, and much faster. Mileage would be better if I didn't have my foot in it all the time!

Overall I am very happy with the product."
