Tail, Blinker and Brake all in one..

Pros: Super bright and simple hook-up for 4-pin towing packages.
Cons: Some might not like the seals but, thats what hot glue is for.

"I actually pulled mine right out of the tube and started to butcher it. I cut it down the connecting block in the middle and made it 2 separate bars, since I was using this for my dune buggy, and 48" was way too long.
I would check your unit and make sure the ends are well sealed. Other than that, it's a great addition to any vehicle lighting system"

"I like the look of the LED Taillight Bar. Installation could have been a little easier if the bar was more rigid. I read alot of customer reviews before purchasing and used some other customer's ideas while installing.
I chose not to use the supplied 3M tape because I have Line-X bedliner sprayed on the area between my tailgate and bumper and I wasn't sure how the tape would act on the bumpy surface. I chose to use metal screws. I used the existing holes on the bar from the mounting tape brackets and drilled holes into the truck. The bar is very flimsy and I had a hard time getting it on straight. I cut up a wood paint stir stick and taped the peices on my bumper and set the bar on top of the peices. I drilled 2 holes and put in the screws and stood back to look at it and could see it was already going downhill. What was happening was the screws were forcing the bar down. I redriled 2 holes a little higher and when the screws pushed the bar down it was level.
After the first 2 screws I had my brother stand back and watch for levelness as I drilled the rest of the holes. It is easier to have a second person eyeing it up while your mounting it. Before I installed, I used masking tape to hold the bar at different heights while working my tailgate up and down. Once I found where I wanted it and knew the tailgate would not hit it I removed the tailgate. This made installation alot easier especially with drilling holes.
Alot of customers had complaints about water getting into the bar on the ends. The bar is sealed on both ends but I went ahead and used clear silicone on both ends for extra security. I tried the bar out tonight and it looks great. My levelness is still alittle off but the LED lights are so bright you can't tell.
The one incentive for me to buy this bar was price. I paid 50.99 for the bar which usally they run between 70 and 80 dollars. I don't think they are worth that much and I still think 50 bucks is kinda steep for what your getting. 2 of the LED's in the bar are bent down a little bit and you can see that when the bar is lite. Came from the factory that way. Another issue with this bar is it covers my spare tire crank hole. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. I knew this when I bought the bar. The mounting metal is thin enough I think I am going to use my tin snips and cut the metal at the hole so I won't have to remove the bar if I get a flat. Take this into consideration if the bar will cover your crank hole and you are using the 3M tape. That stuff does not come off without a fight.
Overall I like the bar and I like the added safety with the extra turn signals brake and tail lights. Hooking up the bar into your electrical system is a breeze if you have a 4 flat connector. Most newer trucks with tow package have both 4 flat and 7 round. I did not know this until the last truck I owned, for newer Dodges with tow package the 7 round is in the bumper. I thought this was all I had until I was under the truck one day and seen the 4 flat tucked up behind the wiring harness. So if you think that 7 round is all you have take a look up behind your bumper you might be surprised. The bar has it's ups and downs but overall after dark it looks great!"

Cons: FIRST ONES SOLD HAD A FEW PROBLEMS BUT JCW SEEMS TO HAVE CORRECTED THOSE THAT WERE FAULTY!

"I purchased my first light bar from JCW over a year ago. It looked & worked great for about 3 months then the left side turn lights and brake lights stopped working.
I called up JCW and they quickly replaced the one I had purchased with one that was built a little different. And, only asked me to return the first one after I had received my new one thus giving me the new shipping tube to send it back in. Plus, they had included a postage paid sticker for me to place on the return!
Long Story Short: The "NEW" replacement light bar they sent has been burning brightly for over a year with NO PROBLEMS!
That is why I waited over a year to Review this item (I wanted the review to be relevant to the ones they are selling now, not the ones they sold in the very beggining). And, I think this bar has shown me that the problems in the beginning were corrected!"

"I am 75 years old and installed the light bar on the frame underneath the tailgate of my 1994 Ford F350 Duelly
Diesel. The bar is hidden until use and then even a global satalite could see my rearend. Super bright!!
Upon reading some of the reviews I used a sealer on the endcap and on the wire penentration
to keep the rain and wash water out.
Fastened the unit using small self taping phillip screws about 8 inches apart instead of using the tape.
When breaking or turning the vihicles are very much alerted and back off to give me room. My truck is a show piece and I do not want to be in a tailgated accident."

Pros: Very Visible both day/night and very eye appealing. Increases the chance that someone behind you will wake-up.
Cons: Adhesive pads held onto the light bar by way of attached screws are flimmsy.

"I installed this LED light bar kit onto my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Desiel MEGA Cab. I was surprised. It does look and function Great! Some of the other reviews are correct. Make sure the surface is clean, clean, clean. Using a long wood board the thickness of what will bring the light bar up to the level height you deem correct, works/aids in the installation process. If you do not use something to maintain the light bar unit level throughtout the adhesive process, you run the risk of an uneven light bar or having to pull off the bar adhesive padding to maintain a level look. To my surprise the unit does come with a prewired white wire that can be wired into the BACK-UP lights of the truck. Can not comment on this because I choose not to mess with the truck wiring. I'm assumming that because it is LED, it should last quite a while before LED bulb/light burns out."

"I put this just under My tailgate on the back of My '78 GMC shortbox stepside PU. Truck ... it ain't much to look at by day, but at night ~ ROCKIN !!! I put some clear faced LED tail lights on the back last week, & put the lite bar in this week just as a running light . . . SHE REALLY LOOKS SWEET ! / SMOKIN HOT FOR MY CUSTOM TRUCK !!! "Easy to install. Mounting straight can be tricky. Single sided adhesive spacers would help, as well as larger mounting screws with phillips and hex heads because it's hard to access the screws in the narrow slot between the tailgate and the bumper. Good product. It works perfectly so far. My kids loved it. I see the price was reduced by $5.00 since I ordered it. I'm still happy."

"This was probably the easiest add on mod I have ever done. I have a special lift gate on my Ford F-150 truck so I did have to get a little creative on installing this but over all this was real easy. This light bar was brighter than I expected which is great. The special adhesive tape the company used is very good. The best part was to just plug it in to my existing trailer plug. How easy was that. I also used a couple of cable ties to secure the extra wire. Over all I give this product an A+ My only concern is that I hope the LED's are long life."

"INSTALLED IT IN ABOUT 15 MIN. I ONLY HOOKED IT UP FOR BRAKE LIGHTS. WHEN YOU HIT THE BRAKE WHOEVER IS BEHIND YOU KNOWS IT REAL QUICK. LOOKS GREAT. I'VE GOTTEN LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS ON IT. "Installed on 98 F-150 Ford with ease, the truck was equipped with tow package plug-in. Had problem after a few months, the LEDS on the left side started flickering and some of them burned out. Notified JC Whitney, sent it back and they replaced it with no problem. Very professional transaction. Otherwise light bar looks great (cool looking) and works great. Great product"

"I recently installed the light bar on the rear of my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. It looks great and adds additional security after I removed my spare tire carrier and attached brake light. The only issue I had was an installation challenge, the instructions for the wiring diagram were incorrect. The use of a volt meter would cut down on trial and error install time."
