"This purchase was to replace one that was lost while riding. The new model has a push button fold down feature which is an excellent improvement. The old style would come apart due to screw style fold down feature."

"I purchased this item for my 1999 Star Venture (Sorry, but it was from another company before J.C. Whitney stocked them.) and am very pleased with it. Both the mast and flag are very good quality and installation was fast and simple. After 50 or 60 miles, however, the mast lowered to horizontal due to vibration and bumpy roads. I corrected this by installing a nylon washer on the allen bolt, between the bolt head and the recessed seat of the mount. This requires that the bolt be loosened to lower the mast, but that only takes several seconds with the included allen wrench. Overall, this is a very good and economical product."
