"Installed the Nasta Stainless Steel steps on my new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Big Horn Edition. They were packaged well and delivered faster than normal. They were very simple and quick to install with a set of helping hands. I'm extremely happy with the stainless steel mounting brackets that came with the steps. The steps and brackets are very sturdy and look top notch."

Nasta stainless nerf on 2006 Silverado RC, June 22, 2009

Pros: All stainless, and they bolt right on.
Cons: Step pad is too far forward - try swapping the bars.

"Easy as pie. Installation is straightforward on 2006 Chevy HD full size regular cab. I have '06 Duramax 2500HD Silverado. These bars bolt on in the usual place in the usual way and for a regular cab, there are only two brackets. There are two gotchas. First, to make them look plumb & level & stick out the same amount at front and rear of bar, I set front down all the way and pulled it out all the way. I set the back up all the way and in all the way. Weird, but otherwise, they slope toward the back and also kick out at the back. Second, now they are aligned great but, as another contributor pointed out, the step pad is too far forward. So, I'll try swapping bars to the opposite side. The word "Nasta" will then be upside down as you stand looking at the truck, but that should set the pad back where I need it. Some Chinese, somewhere, is laughing. I just know. Digging to China, anyone?? LOL! ;-)"

"Installation was smooth,bars look good but the front step pads could be about 3 inches further back because when exiting the truck I tend to step on the bar itself behind the step."

Pros: Great looking all stainless nerf bars including all nuts and bolts.
Cons: Instruction sheet could be detailed better.

"I'm certainly not a Mr. Goodwrench, but these nerf bars were very easy to install. I had them installed in about 45 minutes. Be sure to snug all the nuts connected to the frame before adding the nerf bars. You will need to move the bars to get the connecting bolt into the nerf bars. After all the nuts and bolts are in place you can tighten them. Also there is no need for a torque wrench, all you need is a deep 3/4" socket,open end wrench and a little muscle.
They also were very well packed for shipping with bubble wrap and shrink wrap. I can honestly say the hardest part of this job was removing the shrink wrap wrapped around the bars."

Pros: Great for helping small children get into trucks.
Cons: I had to use the factory bolts instead of the stainless steel ones provided.

"The nerf bars were very easy to install even though the directions left much to the imagination. I would reccomend them to anyone. They fit my 2006 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab very well & my family loves how much easier it is to get in."

"I installed these bars in about one hour on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Big Horn Edition. The quality and look of the product is superb. I read many of the reviews before purchasing and have to agree that the installation instructions leave much in question. Once I installed one side, the second one was a cinch."

"This is the first time I bought bars from an Asian manufacturer, but the shipping actually said Tenessee. Anyway, the bars where very high quality. Polished Stainless bars with all Stainless hardware, just as advertised. I feel the brackets could have been made a little stronger, like an I-beam, but that is OK. Have a impact wrench handy, because you have to remove the main body to frame bolts, and they are on there. Also, I am always worried about shipping this kind of item, for fear of dents and scratches during shipping. However, it was packaged very well. The instructions could have been better, but all in all you will not be disappointed."

"The "stainless steel to the nuts and bolts" sold me. I just recently ordered a pair, and it was delivered to my house in about 4 days. The stainless steel tubes are heavy, and is well protected with bubble wrap as well as the plastic glass paper wrap. All nuts, bolts, and washers seem to be made out of stainless steel as description said. I installed on my 2000 Toyota Tundra with Access Cab. They fit very nicely. I would recommend it to anyone."

"I live in LA, California, and I ordered a pair because I like the stainless steel materials, including the nuts, bolts and washers. The package arrive 3 days later with everything.
It took me about an hour-and-a-half to install, and everything fit perfectly on my 2000 Toyota Tundra. The instruction could have been better, and that's my only gripe.
I previously checked the price at various dealers, and they wanted $600-$700. I guess I saved a lot of money here :-)"

"Excellent product, with perfect fit. I installed both sides in under 30 minutes. The stainless installation hardware is a great touch. These were a hundred bucks less than the least expensive black Westins that I could get locally, and they are much, much nicer.

The finish is great, and my wife loves them! (it's HER truck)."

"I received the Nasta ss step bars in a very timely fashion for my 2006 Tundra crew cab 4x4. The custom installation hardware made it a breeze to install them on my truck in about 1 hour total and they look great. The only complaint I have is that a similar type wheel to wheel version is not available for my style Toyota truck."

"Installed on a 96 Dodge Ram Standard Cab. Easy Installation except the bolts included for mounting the brackets to the body were too long for my truck and although you don't need to drill any holes you DO need to drive 4 self drilling screws. This is easy on the back bracket. However, the front is easiest done by removing the wheel and pulling back the plastic inner wheel well. Overall my installation took about an hour and 15 minutes. That time included rounding up the tools and removing the old running boards and brackets. I still think it was a good choice! The installation and appearance are comparable with many the others but the "all stainless" features sold me."

"It arrived via a trucking company which was hard to find in a big city to pick up. It’s too bad it could not be shipped UPS. But it got here intact.

I installed them on a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic Crew Cab. The directions were sparse so the installation of the first side was sort of trial and error taking about and hour and a half. The second side went like a breeze. The trick is to install the step loosely by the end brackets then install the middle bracket. Tighten everything after its all assembled.

They look fantastic"
