Mixed Feelings,
July 29, 2008
By KenBfrom Central Florida
Pros: Easy Install, looks great, sounds good Cons: Didn't see much if any improvement in gas mileage
"I installed this on a 2007 Ford F-150 w/5.4 motor which I use to pull a duel tandem enclosed trailer and sometimes use to commute to work and back. The gas mileage with the 3000 to 5000 lb. load is right around 11 MPG on the highway. I had hoped to improve that with a couple of modifications to the truck, the first being to open up the air intake. Installation was pretty easy, I had to drill one hole in the fenderwell for the air box but that wasn't a big deal. The air box does not seal out the engine compartment like I thought it would so I'm going to add some additional foam around it to further seal out the engine heat. It looks real nice and opened up the engine compartment. Has a nice roar when you put your foot in it. I have not really noticed an increase in my gas mileage though around town. I have not pulled the trailer since the install so I don't know if the mod helped with that yet. My next improvement is going to be to open up the exhaust system in the hope that with the two mods together it will increase the gas mileage and power."

Worth the Investment,
March 7, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewerfrom Lancaster, PA
Pros: Better gas mileage, great pickup/acceleration Cons: Easy to install, if the directions were correct
"I installed this in my '93 Jeep Wrangler YJ Soft top about two weeks ago.
The install is easy, but did not go smoothly. If you have a Jeep with power steering, be sure to replace the longer hose (which they were very nice to include) BEFORE putting in the heat shroud. The directions instruct you to put in the heat shroud, and then replace the stock hose with the longer hose. However, the bottom hookup is inaccessible with the shroud in. That said, it comes with everything you need, and with out going through partial install, removal, and re-install like I did, installation can be done in under 30 minutes.
This has greatly increased my low end pickup, making my 2.5 4 cylinder preform more like a 4.0 6 cylinder. Now I have to be careful not to perch my tires...
The gas savings are well worth the investment- City driving I save a little over 4 mpg; highway savings are astounding.
Since I installed this air intake, my engine compartment literally purrs- this compliments my Magnaflow 'muffler' greatly, in both sound and engine performance. (It also looks great tucked in my engine compartment!)
Overall great product, great benefits, easy to install, and a worthwhile investment in any vehicle."

Really good setup!,
December 22, 2007
By Rammerfrom Omaha, Nebraska
Pros: Better Gas mileage, More power, Better sound Cons: None, just keep your foot off the gas to keep the gas mileage
"I bought this for my '96 1500 Ram(2WD 5.2 Mag), for being one of the top end dollar air intake kits, I actually like this more than a K&N I bought for my jeep. This one sounds nice ( Nice sucking in noise once you get in the higher RPMS ), Gets better gas mileage ( In my 5.2, 2.1 MPG) and makes the engine comparment a lot nicer to look at! Installation was actually a breeze, and fit perfectly w/ no modifcations at all. Ive definetly seen and heard a difference in my Truck!"

"I got this product for my 02 suburban 5.3, and I love it. Super easy to install, directions were perfect and it took me less than 45 minutes to finish...............and I aint no mechanic. The sound is awesome, power is strong, and my gas mileage went up by 2 mpg. I would recommend it to anyone and I look forward to seein' the difference with headers and exhaust. B A Brute"
