Works great, February 22, 2009
By Anonymous from Terre Haute, Indiana

Pros: Moves freely and operates just as it is supposed to.
Cons: Needs a little more chrome and more illistrations in the directions or even a short installation video on their website.

"I almost did not buy this cruise after reading the bad reviews, but I figured that I would try it and I am glad that I did. I have a 2004 Heritage softail classic with flame grips and the chrome switch housing kit installed. You will have to removed just one screw under the housing to attach the mounting bracket to. I used the small rubber strip provided under the set screws. Be sure not to get the set screws too tight or you will cause the ring to get 'out of round' and will not move freely. All in all it took me about 20 minutes from getting my bike out to closing up my tool box. I am very satisfied with this product and will recomemnd it to all of my friends."

Good Thing I'm Handy, July 18, 2008

Ease of Use/Installation: 1 out of 5 1 out of 5
Quality/Construction: 2 out of 5 2 out of 5

Pros: Ease of use (after a difficult installation), appearance.
Cons: A lot of MacGyver-ing to install on non-stock grips.

"As the title states, I am handy, and I was able to make this item work on my '06 Road King. I have non-stock grips that are evidentally a little thicker on the end where the clamp attaches. This caused too much pressure and did not allow the throttle to roll. I fabricated my own eyebolt out of a #10-32 1" thumbscrew and drilled the holes in the clamp to accomodate the new #10 size. (I was not able to locate an eyebolt just 1/4" longer than the one in the kit form 4 hardware stores or online). I also purchased a new compression spring to accomodate the new #10. All said, it's working. It would be an all 5-star rating with me if the manufacturer would include an additional longer eyebolt and compression spring. If that were the case, installation would be as easy as it is with stock grips."

"Installed very easy and works even easier. Nice and simple. I like it when warming up the engine before riding. Just lock it on even at the lowest idle. On the road it holds good and is easly adjusted without kicking it off. Even fit well on the thicker bars of my Savage and I only had to move the mirror 1/4" or so."
