"This item was installed on a 2008 Saturn Outlook. The quality of construction is excellent but had to drill to fit. The item was small for this vehicle, with very little protection and coverage. Only protects the center section of the hood between the lights. Time will tell how it protects the hood. Decided to keep it since I do not see any other products that match my hood."

Pros: very easy 2 install
"I put the interceptor II hood shield on a 2005 ford escape. The fit was perfect. It took all of about 5 min. 2 install 3 of which was unwrapping it. The holes lined wright up with the holes in the hood, no drilling at all I liked that. You don't even need tools 2 install this 1. On a scale 1-10 1 being easiest 10 hardest this was a 1."

"I installed this on my 2006 F150 and could not be happier. It looks great. I decided to get one for my wife's 1999 Tahoe. I do not like the way it fits on the Tahoe and removed it immediately. It protrudes out to the sides too far and the curve does not match the vehicle hood. It almost was like it was designed for another vehicle."

Pros: Quick installation, good construction Cons: Design of hood keeps water in middle of hood shield then releases all of it on a turn when the wind and forces change.
"Very good product. Took longer to clean bugs off of my hood than to install this product. Only downside is with the shape of my 06 Trailblazer hood some water collects in the middle front of the shield and then sprays out when you take a turn on the highway because the wind and forces change. I would still recommend the product."

"I like the deflector, it looks great and was very easy to install, but I still get lots of bug splatter on my windshield. I'm not sure if it is normal to still get lots of bug splatter or if I should have selected another item specifically for bug deflection."

"Took me only a few minutes to get it put onto my 2007 Toyota Tacoma Standard Cab pickup. I had to force 2 of the screws in while the others just threaded right in. But it fit perfectly and is working just fine. No problems with it and I am very happy with this product."

"Package arrived quickly and the product was clean and workmanship of the shield is very good. Product is superior to the Toyota factory item and at 1/3 the price it becomes a no brainer. Took about 30-minutres to install Fasteners included with the kit (2) were wrong size and one was stripped. Luckily most Ace Hardwares carry automotive style fasteners."

"I presently own a 2003 Chevy Tahoe (Z71) and the Interceptor II Hood Shield by Lund fit perfectly. There was no drilling or a complicated installation. 5 minutes from opening the box to complete install. All the pre-drilled holes on the Lund Hood Shield alligned up just like from the factory.
There is absolutely no vibration or noise even at highway speeds. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone."
