not a good choice,
March 7, 2009

Pros: looks great, Cons: cheaply made for money
"product looks good on my 01 dodge ram 2500, the only problem i have with it was the plug on it. i thought the wire was to small and the plug is cheaply made. i did not like the silicone at the end either, that looked generic"

Pros: bright, love the back up lights, easy install Cons: price, but then again we all want things free
"I was concerned after reading the reviews that it would be difficult to install...actually called and had a friend who has all the tools in the world help me and it was easy. I have an 2007 F-150 and according to reviews would have to drill or file down, we just worked it easily around the piece hanging down and were done in 15 minutes."

Pros: very bright leds... Cons: 3 leds on rev. light dont work...
"very bright leds, looks great. installation is challenging...if your able remove tailgate, this will make your job so much easier also hardwire the wiring due to the enclosed plug will not hold up over time and finally put some water proof caulk over each end of the bar to protect the circuit board from water....after i installed mine i noticed three of the reverse leds didnt work..."

Pros: Lights are very bright and it is easy to install Cons: cheaply made
"I thought it was very cheaply built for the price I paid for it. One wire was pulled out of the end when I got it and two of the LED lights were burnt out already."

Pros: Installed in 1/2 hour only had to tie in reverse wire, Cons: Weak screws to tape, screws holes drilled oversized, had to glue.
"Been looking for one of these for a long time. But with the reverse lights! It is worth the extra for this option. Installed in just half hour. Be careful that tailgate clears light, don't mount to high. Make sure you lay out with marker or soapstone and check depth. Lots of compliments, whare can I get that light at all the time."

Pros: Looks great at night, big brake light action in day light Cons: Not exactly (plug and play!)
"Nice product, looks sharp on my F150 07 King Ranch. The light is plenty bright and works well in the normal running light, turn signal, brakes and reverse ranges. It is almost fool proof (except) the reverse wire can be tricky and the enclosed directions are slim. I went on the web and found better install info. Also as mentioned one of the tape mounts is right in the way of the tail gate fold down pin on 07 F150. I used a Dremmel to cut out a notch on luight bar so it would not bump it.. Fast shipping, good price over all I'm pleased."

Pros: simple design Cons: universal isn't
"It arrived today however 1)the covering to one of the adhesive tape mounts had come off during shipping. Now I have to find some high quality double sided tape to replace it. Not that big of a deal. 2)the location of the far right mount is exactly where there is a cutout with a raised lip on my 2007 F-150. I'll have to relocate the mount on the bar. 3) the 4-way plug pins are slightly smaller than my trailer and my current lighted skull hitch cover. I'm concerned that over time (swapping with the trailer plug) the connector will fall out. I'll propably end up hard wiring it. I didn't expect this much trouble for this amount of money."

"This product was very easy to install. Looks great at night giving off plenty of light. The hook up for the white wire to the backup lamp on my Ford F-150 was simple. All functions of the light worked properly and all the bulbs were working. There should be no problem with the people behind you not being able to see you"

"Great product. Installation is good with the adhesive patches that allow the sheet metal of the vehicle to be less than perfectly straight while still adhering very well. The white lights on the unit I have do not always all light up when they are energized. Other than that intermittent issue the product looks great at night, lights up the area behind the vehicle well while backing up and enhances safety/visibility for people that just find away to live in there own world."

"Although it came with no instructions, it was very easy to figure out...the white wire (for back-up lights) was also easy to connect. Just use a 12v probe in the wiring harness and find the wire for the back-up lights. For a 2007 Dodge, use about a 3/8" thick board to place the strip level under the tailgate (you'll probably need an extra set of hands to assist). Clean the surface area so the adhesive will stick properly...measure and use pencil marks to center. Once lined-up...press into place to seat the adhesive (make darn sure you're line-up before you let the adhesive touch the intended surface)."

"Look great, easy to installed, but you need to know your truck wiring as the instructions gave no clue as where the loose white wire was to be connected. Other then that, they work great."
