Pros: Well constructed. Cons: Poor fit, armor "floats" in sleeves.
"This jacket is contructed very well. I like the look of it as well. My two problems are how it fits, and with the armor in the sleeves. As far as fit goes, this jacket runs small in the shoulders but normal in the body. As a consequence, I had to order an XXL to be able to fit up top, but then it's too big around my midsection and billows out when seated on the bike. My other issue with fit is that I'm 6'7" so I ordered the "tall" size. Well the sleeves ride up past my wrists when I'm on the bike. The other issue I had was a minor one, but the armor in the elbows "floats" in the sleeves when you put the jacket on and you have to shake your arms a few times to get them to settle in place. I can't help but wonder how they'd behave in an accident?"

Very Good Jacket for the Money,

"I haven't had the chance to wear the jacket yet on a motorcycle ride, as I was wanting it mainly for cooler weather. However...the jacket is very comfortable when on...and does not bind you up a lot like some cycle jackets do. When buying this jacket, I would normally order an XL. However, I think they generally run a little small, so one should probably order one size larger than you normally get...I got a 2X and it fits great. Got the Silver and Black and it is really a nice looking jacket. Well worth the price paid."

Pros: Great looking and fit Cons: Liner can be difficult to remove and reinstall
"After using jacket several times, I'm pleased with that I purchased this First-Gear model. I've ridden in 55*mornings using the liner and was very comfortable. Have ridden in 90* + days and the air flow is very good as long as you are moving. The Mesh-Tex jacket is very well constructed, velcro for adjustment of waist, wrist and arms. Zippered outside hand and 1 inside pockets are very functional. The padded protection is hardly even noticeable when wearing. The liner can be difficult to remove and reinstall if you have larger fingers. I purchased a XXL for myself and a L for my wife and she has doesn't have near the problem of installing the liner as I do. I can live with it, not really a problem. Haven't ridden in any rain yet so I don't know how water resistant the jacket is. Would recommend Mesh-Tex 3.0 jacket to anyone who wants a nice fitting and great looking jacket !"

"I've had this jacket for about 3 weeks now and I just love it. It's very comfortable and has many velcro straps for the perfect adjustments. It comes with a removable liner for cold weather I'm guessing so I ride without it. Many people have commented how great it looks. The armor is also comfortable, to my surprise, and doesn't get in the way of any movements. It's also mesh so allows for air to flow through which is a great plus in hot weather."
