Pros: Easy install, makes cleaning tank a breeze!

"I purchased this tank cleaner for my travel trailer because of the importance of keeping the tank clean to gaurd against smell and more importantly to keep the pickups inside tha tank clean so that the electonic tank gauge would work properly.
#1 INSTALL: The installation was straight forward with very good directions and a template needed to drill the 4 small holes and the 1 1/2 inch hole needed for the unit to be installed in the side of the tank. It also comes with a slanted piece that can be used if needed for installing on tanks that are angled on the sides.
I simply taped the template to the side of my tank with clear 2" wide shipping tape and drilled the 4 smaller holes first and then the larger hole last. Then removed what was left of the tape and template and "WAHLAH" a perfect mounting location!
Be sure and use some silicone seal applied to the inside of the unit for a clean, non leaking connection!
And because my tank was located in the center of the rear portion of my trailer and it would be a pain to crawl under the trailer each time I wanted to rinse it out I purchased the unit with the hose attachment.
I attached it to the tank with the hose clamp that was provided and ran it forward and to the outside edge of my trailer and attached that end with the supplied bracket.
#2 Now FOR THE MAGIC: If you have done much camping at all you will notice that the fresh water hoses at most campsight dump stations is always short with holes in it and no male end on it. Thus making it impossible to drag inside your trailer to clean the tank out through the toilet! Plus it's a pain in the backside to drag your 50' hose out and attach it and all that entails.
BUT, with the location I chose to place my inlet at, I am able to reach my outside shower/rinse off box. So, I simply connect a 5' water hose I made up myself to the shower box connection and make sure I've left some water in my on board fresh water tank, turn on the onboard water pump and completely flush my tank from my own rig!!!...The kit comes with a one way check valve to make sure no ucky stuff gets back into your hose or water system and I do recommend using a different hose to rinse with than your white fresh water hose!....just for safety sake....yuck, I don't even want to think about the bacteria during this operation!
I think with just a small amount of ability, most people can install this item and the difference it makes is amazing!
It turns a wet dirty job that takes up to 20 minutes into a simple clean job that takes about 10 minutes with no mess!
PS: I also just had to see for myself if this thing spun and sprayed water as described, so before I installed it, I connected it to the water hose and stuck it in an empty milk carton (to give the water jets some resistance to make it turn) and it worked great...just as promised."
