Pros: fit almost perfect in my 1988 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 , color matched only took 5minutes to install
Cons: poor visability, could use more designing

"the sunvisors mounting clip needs to be redisigned. when installed the product, the drivers side visor hits the rearview mirror, and with the visor down blocks alot of viewing angle needed to drive were talking like 3-4" above the hood. i'm 6'1'' 265lbs and yes i sit kinda high in the seat that might have something to do with it but over all its a ok product if you dont want to have a floor console"

"Arrived with slight damage, bowed in transit but not bad. Mounts eaisly, but like other reviews the sunvisor mount is very weak and prone to shaking. Also every time you drop the visor down it rains particles from the shelf all over. Also not closed in the front so everything is eaisly visible from the front of the vehicle."

Cons: Somewhat hard to install, too narrow, smaller than I expected.

"I bought this shelf before Christmas and it was back ordered, so it took almost a month to arrive. I was disappointed with how difficult it was to install. Once you get the screws in it's easy, but getting them to line up with the holes isn't a fun job. It says it comes with Rifle-it, but all that consists of is a strip of foam and a velcro strap, and the shelf is almost too narrow and close to the roof to put a rifle in (That's without the foam strip), not to mention in WI you have to have firearms in a case and I highly doubt my rifle will fit with a case. As for size, the shelf is the width of the truck, but only about 6 inches deep and has one inch lips on both sides of the shelf. The screws stick out of the top about a half inch too. The color did match though, and overall it was a decent purchase. Final word: Too close to the roof to comfortably seat a standard-sized rifle but good construction (except for how the holes were drilled). However, I believe that shelf-it is too pricy for what you get."

Nice Overhead unit, January 2, 2009

Pros: Went in fast, read the instructions three times and went at it, no problems.
Cons: Need shorter visor securing device. ????

"I installed the overhead unit in my 2006 F250SD, it took me about 20 minutes, just watch how you put the visors back in. The Visor securing devices are to big, so I guess I'll go junkyarding. Other than that it's a nice unit and match my interior right on. I'd like to see a front cover for it that had cut outs for radios and the like. But we can't have everything."

"I have one of these in my 1982 F-150 and it works great. However, I ordered one for my 2008 F-150 and it was the same one that I have in my '82. It didn't fit at all, so I had to send it back. I wish they made one for my '08. It does not fit well in the '08 in general and blocks the rear view mirror at the top."

"OVERALL I THOUGHT THE PRODUCT WAS GREAT. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE AS I MENTIONED ABOVE WAS THAT THE COLOR DIDN'T MATCH. I ORDERED TAN AND THE COLOR WAS CLOSER TO A GOLDY YELLOW. I STILL WENT AHEAD AND INSTALLED IT AND IT FIT PERFECT. I HAVE A 2000 FORD E250.THE ONLY THING IS I HAD TO DRILL A COUPLE OF HOLES TO REINSTALL THE CLIPS WHERE THE ENDS OF THE SUN VISOR SNAP INTO. I GUESS WITH THEIR INSTRUCTIONS THEY DON'T MENTION THEM BUT I LIKE MY VISORS A LITTLE MORE SECURE. I'M HAPPY WITH THE WAY THEY CAME OUT."

Pros: I would like the item
Cons: Sunvisors wouldn't mount without modifing

"Your site stated the item was coming FEDX, but it can UPS ground.
I really wanted the item to fit, but I didn't want to have to damage the sunvisors of my NEW F250, so thay would mount. I could have made the whole on the self bigger, but I didn't want to alter the new shelf either. So I returned the item to you. Other than that Your items are great. Maybe in the future you will have another shelf that wound fit.

"I ordered this product for a 1989 dodge Dakota, and when it arrived, I went to install it, but it didn't fit at all, it was actually sticking out the windows on both sides. The description on the box says it will fit a 86-97 Dakota (which is weird because Dakotas weren't made in 86). Since it didn't fit in the Dakota i put it in a 1990 Dodge Ram, and it fit perfectly."

Cons: Too short for rifle, could be closer to top of cab by the windshield, no way to mount the visor holders.

Pros: easy install
Cons: no way to attach visor end snaps

"it works, i had to custonize the end snap by cutting off the extruding part that fits inside the roof so that if fits flush and drill 2 holes to re-attach so that the end of the visor dont bounce and the snap ends hold it in place, other wise it serves its porpose"

Pros: Plenty sturdy, screws and brackets fit exactly as they were supposed to.
Cons: No pre-drilled holes for visor snaps

"Instructions were good. Shelf fit exactly as it was supposed to fit albeit it could have been a little deeper. My CB radio overhangs a bit. All holes were where they were supposed to be. It was an easy installation. It might have been nice to have pre-drilled holes and/or brackets for the small ends of the visors. The originals were already broken and the visors tend to bounce and make a little noise. I ordered new snap brackets from the dealer and will drill my own holes to solve the problem. The color was not exact but very close. All-in-all it was a good buy. I'd buy another one and would recommend it to a friend. I also bought the console that goes with it but I haven't gotten it installed yet. I will write a review when I do."
