"This went in very easy. Great step by step instruction, wires are color coded for easy connections. Spent about 4 hours for installation."

Pros: simple install, cut down on propane use
Cons: a little pricey, but will quickly pay for itself

"This unit fits the atwood heater, as well as american, suburban, and a few others. The heating element fits into the drain plug,(can be removed easily to drain for winterization) and all wires are color coded. Thermostat must be mounted directly onto metal tank, so if you have styrofoam insulation,a small square must be removed. Standard plug designed to run inside camper to plug in, but can be run outside to any other outlet. 1 hour installation, and maybe some drilling to run wires, nothing major."

Cons: Takes about one hour to get hot

"Very easy to install once I figuired out to get into water heater. Great instructions and all wires are color coded."
