bead lock look at low price, November 8, 2009

Pros: looks good at 10' away
Cons: must paint for best effect

"the black ones have been discontinued, which is a royal PITA, because the chrome must be stripped if you want to paint.

once you strip the chrome, you must paint the back to match your wheels (unless they're chrome of course don't strip it) then paint the fronts how you prefer.

i have black steel wheels on a red truck. so i painted the back black, so the claws which hold the ring on will not be so noticeable, and painted the fronts red to match the body. then i painted the bolt heads black by hand with a paint marker.

FYI: the bolts are FAKE. they are a hex head that's been riveted to the ring. i can't even tell if they're metal.

from 10' away, it looks like i have $200 wheels, not $40 steelies with $15 trim rings. i'm happy."

"I ordered these trim rings not knowing what to expect, I was very impressed when they arrived. It only took minuntes to install on my Jeep Wrangler. I have had many friends too say those wheels look super. Then I say they are trim rings ordered from JC Whitney. Thanks"

"is a good product, has a good price but looks like it was hand cutted.
but everything else is very good.
looks almost as the real bedlock"
