The GPS working better than before, September 30, 2009

Pros: Roadmax has updated GPS driver
Cons: Website does not say anything about the NEW DRIVER

"I sent e-mail the compnay to see if any map updates are available. Looks like I already had the latest maps but they told me that they have the new GPS driver available. I installed the new driver and working great. The GPS is working better than before."

Save your money, August 21, 2009

Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Problems finding GPS signals

"Do not waste your money. Looses GPS often. Have to use the RESET, often to clear. Distance to turn is not accurate, off by about 250 feet. The backup camera often turns fuzzy and no backup lines to guide you when it does work. Sometimes the guide voice is not always clear.
The system is fairly easy to use.
The company needs to fine tune the system better and work out the bugs, then it would be a good system."

No More Freeze Problem, June 17, 2009

Pros: Good Unit for the Price, Video Plays MP4 files
Cons: Reset switch is hard to use

"The video receiver inside of the GPS seems very sensitive and picks up baby cams & security camera images at so many places. Very seldom the unit locks up with snowy image but I found the way to solve it. When I am not using the backup camera (going forward on streets) I plugged stereo headphone mini jack into the AV-in hole on the side. The GPS thinks that AV-LINE is connected then the video receiver inside of the GPS stopped working. Try it it works. No more snowy screen & No more freezing. When I need backup, it is easy to unplug the stereo jack."

Cons: screen freeze

"This would be a nice unit if it didn't have known problems. The unit has power up and down problems, it freezes the screen and you must hit the reset button to clear. The reset button is in the rear of the unit, so that means unhook from the suction cup holder. The tech support at Roadmax knows about this problem...save your money."

Great Factory Customer Service, May 8, 2009

Pros: Excellent product quality and features
Cons: Had trouble keeping the internal battery charged

"I had trouble with the units battery going dead.
I called the manufacturer and they explained that the unit has a sleeping mode that continues to power the CPU if you only momentarily press the power switch. To fully turn it off you must hold the power switch down for 3 seconds.
They now have added this information to the owners manual"

Pros: Works as well as other units I've tried costing $$hundreds more
Cons: None that I've seen yet

"For the money, this items is amazing and give you a Lexus style back up camera at an amazing price. I've used Garmin and Tom Tom GPS units and the screen, voice, speed of input are as good if not better at this crazy amazing price. Don't waste your time elsewhere, just buy it. It comes with all of the necessary accessories and the battery life is more than adequate. Great buy for the money, thanks!"
